Adamas University Hostel Life is a Home Away From Home

Adamas University Barasat is all that I looked, in order to pursue my dreams through my studies. I was a student of the 2016 B.Com batch and successfully passed out in 2019. During this journey, I have collected tons of memories and experiences. Overall, it is a decent University in West Bengal (at least at our time).

Their academics is the only thing which I feel where they can improve on. They have taught us 6 subjects every semester on an average. At times, they used to change the syllabus in the middle of the semester. Once they eliminated a total subject from the curriculum. So they should work on that.

Without even a second thought, you can feel it and see it on your own once you join the college, they offer the best faculty members in East India. You will get self-confidence, self-belief as well as learn various problem-solving skills, and many more essential skills to face any obstacles coming your way. Also, the members groom us in such a way that we can adapt to any kind of organization, anywhere in the world. Having said that, there are always people who behave rudely to you. So, you might feel that it’s a mixed bag, but they have quality professors mostly.

Placement is a department that did not work for me at least. The people working in the placement cell are absolutely trash. They don’t co-operate with you. They also don’t place you in the renowned organisations. Some people have got decent placements but most of them didn’t receive any help in this particular department. I was also disappointed with their approach. So, if anyone wants to enroll in the university thinking of getting quality placements, then you shouldn’t join this college.

I did not personally live in the hostel but my friends did and they used to face a lot of issues at times. Leaving passes are not quite easy to get and the in-charges are quite strict especially to girls. Regarding hostel services, you will find it the best among all. You will never feel homesick. Food and water provided are of the highest quality and well within the standard food standards. The ones who stay in the hostel even have the facilities of gym, indoor games, and many more, unlike many other hostels that offer poor services.

If you are wondering to know how good the infrastructure of the university is? It's top class. It is spread over a land area of more than 100 acres. Besides, the greenery plants and trees out there offer, constantly keeps you fresh. You don’t need to spend money on mobile data, the university has a free Wi-Fi connection for you all. The laboratories are well advanced and modern, so are the classrooms. As for the canteen, it is fully air-conditioned. Infrastructure-wise, you can’t compare our college to other colleges.

Adamas University Campus is a decent place you will find to study. The bonding and relationship between teachers and students is really remarkable. You can compare it to your relationship with your parents. They teach you the life experiences the way your parents do. They are not just limited to your textbook studies. Unlike most colleges, they keep a proper record of their students and make sure you are well adapting to the studies plus teachers About the relationship with classmates? That is not even a question at all. Of course, you will find almost all of them friendly but I made a handful of friends because I am an introvert. These 3 years made us a family. One can never willingly leave his/her family. You will feel in a similar way at the end of your term there.
