My experience at Indian Institute of Information Technology

Overall Rating
I have chosen this particular institute because the courses that are offered here are different than other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified and it is also a main reason. The placements in this college are good and this college is ranked in top 7 IIIT's. So I also suggest the students to join this college for their bright future and for enhancing the skills.
 

Academics Rating
The academics here are good and the curriculum is here is up to date as per the present day technical trends which make students more efficient. The entry requirement for this college is JEE mains. One should secure a percentile of 98 or above in order to secure a seat in Computer Science Engineering here. I have an interest in computers which motivated me to take this course in this college.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty in our institute is very good. There are highly qualified professors who have completed their Ph.D from IITs and NITs. The style of teaching in our institute is PPT mode. They clear the student’s doubts without hesitation. The faculty here is so friendly with students and makes them understand each concept. They will also recommend the books and will provide the material which is required for proper studies.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell in the institute. This will helps the students to acquire jobs in the industry. The main companies which recruits students from this institute are Amazon, Microsoft, Games Craft, Flipkart etc.
 

Hostel Rating
The infrastructure of boy’s hostel is quite good. There are total 7 floors and each floor contains around 60 rooms with attached bathroom to the room. There are 4 lifts and a mess is also available in the hostel. In Boys Hostel, the rooms contain fans, 2 cupboards, and 2 tables and 2 chairs.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In our campus the academic block is good and most important thing is centrally air conditioned. There are 2 blocks of Boys Hostel and 1 Girls Hostel and 1 Faculty Block. Also, there is a lake in the campus. There is a one student activities block which contains Gym, Badminton court, Table Tennis and Kabaddi court. Football ground, cricket ground and volleyball court are also present in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
In our college there are many clubs like dance, literature, music, robotics, programming, and more. There are 3 main fests, Technical Fest (entropy), Cultural Fest (yuvaan) and Sports Fest which are held once in a year. In our college, crowd is less because there are only 2 branches Computer Science Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.

    Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati is an institute of national importance. The computer science and engineering branch is considered to be a good option among others. Once you come to the institute, you will not regret any more. You will automatically engage in it. Faculties are just amazing. There are many coding competitions and extracurricular activities.     IIITG is an institute, which is in its developing stage, and at this point I think, has a lot of scope to improve. First things first and what the priority should be faculty. I think this institute has best faculty. They are helping in nature and teach perfectly (obviously, exceptions do exist).
