Should I select IIITG?

Overall Rating
IIITG is surrounded by mountains, giving lively scenery and a friendly weather (neither too hot nor not too cold). You can adjust just with a fan. I entered this college because of its placement statistics.
 

Academics Rating
I am a Computer Science Engineering student at IIITG. I took admission by clearing JEE mains with a good percentile. You need to score around 98% to get CSE in this college and around 96% may give you ECE here.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties here have knowledge about their subject. Truth is if there are 6 faculties for 6 subjects. Out of 6, 3-4 have good teaching skills and 2 will have knowledge but don’t know how to deliver it.
 

Placement Rating
Yeah, we have a placement cell which is headed by the faculty of ECE. Many companies do visit here. You need to have the skills that a company requires in order to get recruited.
 

Hostel Rating
We have 3 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. All hostel facilities are available.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure is okay. We have 1 academic building with centralized A.C.s and multiple sports grounds. There is a medical store and grocery store available for the students within the campus premises.
 

Campus Rating
Don't expect too much from the college. The fests are okayish, but with friends you’ll enjoy. The campus isn’t really crowded. We have all types of clubs, but personally I’m not interested in them.

  • Structured and focused academic curriculum

    Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati is an institute of national importance. The computer science and engineering branch is considered to be a good option among others. Once you come to the institute, you will not regret any more. You will automatically engage in it. Faculties are just amazing. There are many coding competitions and extracurricular activities.     IIITG is an institute, which is in its developing stage, and at this point I think, has a lot of scope to improve. First things first and what the priority should be faculty. I think this institute has best faculty. They are helping in nature and teach perfectly (obviously, exceptions do exist).     I have chosen this particular institute because the courses that are offered here are different than other colleges. The faculty is highly qualified and it is also a main reason. The placements in this college are good and this college is ranked in top 7 IIIT's. So I also suggest the students to join this college for their bright future and for enhancing the skills....
