Ravenshaw University - The Face of Odisha

Overall Rating
My name is Aditya. I am a student of Ravenshaw University, Cuttack. Currently I am doing Bachelor of Science in mathematics subject. Overall this is a good university for bachelor of science, arts, commerce, business administration, etc. Here you can do integrated B.Sc and B.Ed. Because of good faculty members and after hearing good reviews from seniors I have opted mathematics subject here. As I am currently doing B.Sc in mathematics and from my experience I can recommend others to take mathematics. And now this university also NAAC A++ accredited.
 

Academics Rating
As I am a mathematics student so I don't have any specific information about other departments. But mathematics department is good. The faculty member of mathematics department is very good. They are very helping in nature. Eligibility criteria for taking admission are first you have to complete your class 12th with good percentage. After that you have to give all your details to SAM’s website, and then if you have good percentage only then your name can be shortlisted for taking admission in this institute.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of department of mathematics are very good. They are helping in nature. I have also taken generic elective in Chemistry. I think there are not a sufficient number of faculty members in the department of chemistry. I have heard it from seniors. But those who are here they are very helpful in nature. All the faculty members have cleared the exam called UGC NET. I don't like their teaching style, but if you are interested in the subject then the teaching style doesn't matter.
 

Placement Rating
I am not aware about the placement system of this institute, So I can't tell about the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, this university has hostel facilities. Many hostels are present here. Some hostels are very good and have good infrastructure. But some hostels have bad infrastructure. Overall hostels are good. But the food system is the worst system I have ever seen.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Ravenshaw University has two campuses. In the main campus you will study course like B.Sc, BA, BCom, etc. And in the second campus i.e. the Mahanadi Campus you can study the self financing courses. Infrastructure of both campuses is very well designed. There is a big library named 'Kanika Library' which is called the heart of the institute. The main campus is present near the Cuttack Railway station so it is easy to commute.
 

Campus Rating
Overall I can say the campus life is going to be very interesting. Each year many fests are conducted. Other engagement activities like annual sports, dance, music, acting and many more competition are held. There are various clubs that are present in the institute; the students can participate in any club as per their interest or preference.

    Ok, First of all I'm new in Ravenshaw. I'm basically a fresher but I know Ravenshaw very well. First of all please congratulate our college for obtaining A++ from NAAC it was a very proud moment for all the Ravenshawvian.
