JIS College of Engineering BBA Review By Paramita Das

After getting good marks in 12th I wondered which college to opt for so that I can fulfill my success goal. At that time; one college that came to my mind that is JIS College of Engineering. JISCE is good college for management studies too; I had got chance to study here for BBA, 2009-2011 batch. Infrastructure and facility are unbeatable, which includes a computer lab, biological lab, etc. They used to give us many projects, assignments, case studies, etc., and we had to complete our laptop sitting in the home. Fees were very high compare to other colleges; they charge for everything. The college has no other facilities except study; they do not give the exposure for industry-related. If you are looking for amazing study, then this college is best.

As I told before this B-School is very good in academics. They used to give us challenging case studies, and to complete that, we need to do lots of research. Faculties are not used to support before finishing the case studies. After the completion, they used to give us feedback and make us understand completely. They also used to arrange for us guest lecture to draw out some information from them which will be useful for our future. Some of MNC’s CEOs used to come to see our progress and knowledge to come for compassing in future.

All faculty of JIS are excellent and well-educated. They all are industry experts, and they only have one motto that is to make students ready for industry. They used to train us in such a way that you will feel you are already an industry expert. Sometimes from management, some person used to come to see how the classes are going on, and it is being held properly or not. They also used to give us PPT to design and present in Infront of the class. We used to build our team where we used to help each other to make a wonderful presentation.

JIS had given us placement, but not so great. Many companies had come for placement, but all together, only 50% of students got placed. They have made us study well but could not able to give you proper placement. Our course fee was also much higher, so we would have become more satisfied if we could get placement.

The hostel is located outside of the college campus, and it is a good area where you will have an availability of everything. Boys and girls, it was a separate building. You had an option to select your room types like single, double sharing, and triple sharing. Every room has an attached bathroom. Since that building was newly constructed, everything was attractive, and we used to get 24x7 water supply, electricity, TV, etc. one huge hall is available where everyone can get together and do the discussion. You can even read the newspaper, sharing your plan with each other, play some indoor games, etc. We used to love that room because every entertainment thing was available there and after finishing class we used to rush to go to that room.

Since the building was new at our time, everything was nice, like labs, classrooms, halls, seats, etc. They have air-conditioned rooms and comfortable desks to sit and study. This college only used to focus on study and no other cultural activity they used to do. We even used to sit in the canteen and enjoy our college life with friends. Food was also best in canteen, since many students used to come from other states to our college for study our hostel infrastructure also was very well-maintained. Institute security is very good where no one can get entry without I-Card.

As I mentioned before nothing much, we used to do except study but few small events we used to celebrate like Saraswati Pooja, sports day, women’s day, mother’s day, teacher’s day, etc.
