DAVIET- Best Engineering college in Jalandhar

Overall Rating
This college is one of best and affordable colleges in Jalandhar city. It is not as expensive as other colleges in the locality. The admission can be taken by directly visiting the college’s reception or online also through their website. The admission process is very easy, fast and smooth too. The college campus is also fairly spaced and located. College sufficiently meets every requirement of a student.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) course. The percentage requirement in this particular course is 75% in 12th class exams and for normal computer science courses it are 80% cutoff criteria. One can take Admission on the basis of percentile in JEE MAINS examination also. My motive was clear enough as artificial intelligence is the clear future of the world and will be in huge demand in coming future.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members of this college are highly educated and well behaved. They all are degree holders (Ph.D) and have enough knowledge about their respective subjects. They all are much focused and provide enough material as required by us. The management is also dedicated to their work. They have different and all types of faculty members required for the particular course.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, the college has a whole placement cell in the campus. The students can sit in the placement rounds from third year or 6 semesters itself. We can continue study and do internship at the same time. Almost 20-25 companies visit the campus (for my course) every year for placements and they do select students. Highest package offered here is around 54 LPA by Syndigo and averages package ranges from around 3-6 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, the college has its own hostel in the campus itself. It has a separate building for boys and girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college according to me is a little outdated. It has an old building and the furniture also seems to be old. The college looks dull (though painting work has started recently). The auditorium of the college is also not up to the mark as it has very less capacity. The college has a huge 2- floored library with a digital library too. The reception area is also good and stylish. Though the classrooms have no Air conditioners but enough windows.
 

Campus Rating
The college life is easy and there is very less burden on the students. The time table is very well made according to the perfect needs and requirements which do not overload the student. The college also has a uniform which is mandatory to be worn on all Monday’s and a separate for all the sports events. There are lots of clubs in the college. One can join any of them according to one’s interests. Youth fest and tech fest like events are held in the college. Interactive sessions are also conducted every now and then.

    Daviet short form of DAV Institute of Technology, is situated in Jalandhar city and too far from the central area this college is a good enough collage there are no such advantages over top colleges but if you are looking into this review you probably did not get into top NIT or IIT and you live in the Punjab region so the choices are limited for you go so over other big colleges in Punjab like Lovely Professional University or Chandigarh University.     It is one of finest college for engineering purpose but cannot be recommended for management courses. Faculty is good but placements are not up to mark it also lacks in personality development courses. Admission process is very easy proper consultation is done.
