Daviet short form of DAV Institute of Technology, is situated in Jalandhar city and too far from the central area this college is a good enough collage there are no such advantages over top colleges but if you are looking into this review you probably did not get into top NIT or IIT and you live in the Punjab region so the choices are limited for you go so over other big colleges in Punjab like Lovely Professional University or Chandigarh University. This college is a smaller college, and the perk of this college is that there is more attention to every student and there are community of smaller and more focused and the due to small peer group and some of them being very talented can help you up skill in many ways. The placement opportunities are very limited as compared to the big colleges but the whole point of placements is that you have some skills to show if there are limited placement opportunity but due to the focus of faculty and a small peer group which help you up skill you get capable enough to get a job yourself instead of relying on the placements.

I entered Computer Science and Technology which is an arguably considered the most sought-after course. The criteria of getting it is simple you usually have more than 80-90 percentile in JEE mains depending upon the year or you have More than 80-85 percent marks in CBSE board you can easily get into this college using the management quota but there is a loophole as they have launched a new course of CSE AI.ML the requirement of that course is lower you can get into it with a 70 percent in boards and arguably it's also better than core the focus on academic is alright for students the teacher do really focus on each and every student which might be a plus or a drawback depending upon you.

The facility is a mixed bag some being good and very qualified while other are just okay, teachers who just shout on you all the time and probably don't have the best knowledge themselves but overall, a solid 7 out of 10 and their teaching style is also a bit outdated they are very focused on academics and use of newer technology is very limited.

We do have a Placement Cell at institute, and they do help you get a job but to be very honest placement opportunities are limited but if you are skilled enough you can easily get through off campus.

We do have hostels and they are just fine they are not like the best but they do get the job done there are occasionally some recreation activities like yoga sessions all and the facility of to play sports is also quite nice as there is basketball, badminton, etc. and there is also a swimming pool which is Olympic sized in neighboring college like just a 100 meters away and there are some lawn tennis and cricket academies near which are very good.

Infrastructure is one area where this college really shows sign of degradation; the infrastructure is not up to the mark. It is old and small it is an aspect where colleges like LPU which is also near Jalandhar shines their infrastructure is top notch but here infrastructure takes a hit the auditorium is very old even the floors make. Sound if that is something you really care about then you can look into some other colleges.

Campus life is a also a key area where the college lags behind as the crowd there is just okay like a big chunk comes from Bihar and Himachal Pradesh because they get scholarships here but as it is in not at outskirts of the city the accessibility to good restraints and clubs is quite good as Jalandhar as a city is just excellent is someone comes here this city will a pleasant surprise. There are many activities if you know where to look there are a few clubs here which are quite good the club of the wordsmiths is especially talented, and their mentor is also quite talented.
