Zeal Education Society's Zeal College of Engineering and Research M.Tech Review By Ankita Ghule

Zeal College of Engineering is one of the best colleges in Pune which is not gaining global popularity. It feels good that my college comes in the top 10 engineering colleges in Pune. The admission process is as usual, an online process. The college management is not that bad and someone with whom I could manage quite well.

The college comes under the Pune University. I pursued my masters in Information Technology because I had heard that the students from IT department get placed in reputed IT companies. We also had the opportunity to take up different courses in the IT stream which was an add-on to the syllabus.

The faculty of Zeal College of Engineering Narhe is kind and very supportive. Especially, the Information technology department had highly experienced professors along with specialisation in various technologies. The faculty is trained time to time to upgrade their skills which in turn helps in improving the quality of education imparted. Students also had a good tuning with the professors. The faculty also had excellent academic qualifications. They taught us concepts with the help of real-time experiences which helped in clearing the concepts well. The faculty is quite young and the average age is 34 years. They put in lot of efforts to teach the students.

Around 75% students get placed in reputed multinational companies. The average packages offered by the MNCs are more than 4 LPA which was a great deal. Bigger companies who came in were also ready to offer 7LPA for a handful of brilliant students. I too got placed in one such MNC with handsome package. Zeal College placement cell is actively working towards the training of the final year students and had gone one step ahead in imparting a one-month training called the Zensar. Zensar was a technical training activity which benefited the students to grow technically sound.

Our college had hostel only for girls which was a boon for me. It was a good hostel right there in the college campus. The fees were also affordable. For boys there are several PGs around the college with inexpensive monthly fees. One can look around and find a decent accommodation quite easily.

Zeal College Narhe had neat and clean surroundings. The infrastructure was spacious and had all the necessary facilities such as playground, gym, basketball ground and highly equipped computer labs. The classrooms too are comfortable and have good ventilation facility.

The campus life was nice, not bad I mean. As the crowd is good and there’s not much gender differentiation, students mingled well, and most importantly respected each other. As the gym and playgrounds were excellent, students had a gala time during their college years. The students of this college are culturally oriented and disciplined. I was in awe to see the love and respect for the great Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj amongst the students. The college campus is beautiful and soothing which makes a good environment for studies.
