SVNIT Surat Review

Overall Rating
I opted the college due to goof NIRF ranking and good placement records. Here everyone is cooperative, it makes a good environment. Also Surat is a diamond city, it has a good connectivity with other major cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, etc. The tech fest and cultural fest occurs time to time makes the college life even better.
 

Academics Rating
To get in Sardar Vallabhbhai National we have to give examination called JEE MAINS. The branches are allocated on the basis of marks and on the basis of ranks obtained in JEE MAINS. This examination is done two times in a year. The results are declared on the basis of the better of the two. Also to get in this college, student has to get either 75% or be in top 25 percentile student in class 12th.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties of SVNIT Surat are of moderate level. Almost every faculty has done Ph.D in their respective field. So almost every faculty has good knowledge of their subject. But sadly only few faculties are interested in teaching. Labs are taken by teaching assistant or Ph.D Scholars of that subject. Also some faculties are in the top 1% scientist of India. So we can say that faculties are of moderate level.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have Placement Cell. Company from different profile like tech, data analyst, coaching, management, etc. visit for placement. Earlier placement scenario was quite better but in year 2024 placement scenario is not good. For branch computer science, chemical engineering, etc. placement is good but branches like civil engineering has not good placement scenario.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has good academic infrastructure. Every department has its own separate building. Also proper lab facility is available in this college. Library is also good. Library consists of a lot of books related to subject curriculum but apart from curriculum a very few books are available. Proper medical facility is also available in the college campus.
 

Campus Rating
Sparsh is the annual cultural fest of the college. It runs four day. Different activities are done. Mindbend is the tech fest of this college. It is the second largest tech fest of Gujarat. Along with these two fest different activities are carried from time to time. Different clubs and student chapter like NCC, NSS, CHRD, DRISHTI, etc. are in the campus. These clubs help in improving the overall personality growth of a student.

    SVNIT is part of one of the top institutes of India. It provides students all the required facilities and encourages them to develop and learn skills on their own. There is nothing missing in the campus life at SVNIT. The academic facilities are top class. It would be difficult to find other institutes with similar facilities.
