KCAET Malappuram is Situated at the Bank of Bharathapuzha River

My experience until now has been good and appreciable. Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology has a very environment friendly campus. Within the campus, we can find lots and many historical and cultural elements. The layout allow room for walking paths, open courtyards, and utility spaces like labs and farm areas

The course that I choosed is B Tech agricultural engineering. As compared to other engineering fields agricultural engineering is the best i guess. Even if the unavailability of job exists in this field too it is atleast less screen time job. About the academics the teachers are nice. There is bit of unavailability in equipments. But we’ve all kinds of lab. Since the college has started a long time ago the lab has also became bit old. If we are talking about the exams it is pretty hectic and also we could complete our degree before six months. There are so many teachers that are really supportive and caring. The syllabus is pretty good. Even if we have plenty to cover we will cover it in perfect time. And in between the syllabus we have an all india trip as part of project. It also give us the opportunity to visit and explore many places. It will be a great opportunity for us. We also have a period of training which helps us to enhance our creativity and ability.

For me, the total tuition fee was about Rs. 60,000/-. Additional expenses include hostel and mess fees that are about Rs. 2800/- per month. The college offers merit based admission through the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical entrance exam.

The faculties are well qualified and supportive. Most the professors hold Ph.D degrees or have strong research background. Most of the subjects are practical based. Even though, the labs are old and not that much developed it often affects our studies. We have lots of lab technicians and co-workers for each labs and workshops. We have total five departments. For each department we have well known and intelligent Head of Departments. Under HODs, there are well-qualified professors. Even of some teachers are quite tough with the studies some cool. We have a great atmosphere for studies. It is getting even more impressive.

We do have one placement cell in KCAET Malappuram. However, the thing is that it needs to be more active. However, they are taking effective measures for the development of a good placement cell.

The college offers residential facility. Boys and girls have separate hostels. As for the girl’s hostel, there are about 47 rooms. Each room can accommodate 5 students. The rooms are fully furnished. There is also hostel mess, which is managed by students. For the mess bill, we have about Rs. 2800/- per month. For the hostel fee, it is submit along with the semester fees. The hostel has curfew timings.

The college offers impressively solid infrastructure despite being a government college setting. It has a bunch of trees and plants since it is an Agricultural University. Situated on approximately 100 acres at the bank of the Bharathapuzha river. We have Wi-Fi in our campus. We also have laboratories, a central library, sports facilities, etc. while core labs and facilities are well equipped a certain departmental labs need to furnish. Additionally, the rural location means transportation connectivity may be a bit less convenient for some students. There are plenty of places in the campus to spend time after the classes with our friends. Inside the campus itself, we have a canteen. There we could get the basic things to eat. The college has a seminar hall and an auditorium. The seminar hall is central ac. It is renovated recently. Overall, the campus infrastructure is impressive.

The campus life is quite good along with good friends. Since there are, only 100 students per batch the crowd will be very small. It is quite silent. However, since there are very few students we will familiar with each students and we will be able create good connections also we will be participating in every programs. There are clubs for activities like arts, sports, dance, multimedia, entertainment, etc. each club conducts an event in a year. We have program of arts. It extends up to four days. Like the arts club, during sports events, the selected candidates have a chance to go to university sports. We also have union inauguration day and union valedictory day. It is grand program in a year.
