Indira Gandhi Engineering College B.Tech Review By Mithlesh

In my point of view, Indira Gandhi Engineering College provides a great opportunity to study for students who belong middle class and financial background. Due to the autonomous college fee structure is less and you need to pay only 25450 for a year of study. This is a large campus with big buildings and many more facilities are available in the college.

There are five branches in the college Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics And Communication Engineering and Information Technology Engineering. Every year lots of students take admission to my college especially in Information Technology and Electronics and Communication Engineering. All the seats are filled in these two branches, but the craze for core branches has been low in this college for the past 2 years. There are lots of seats that remain vacant in the Mechanical branch. If you want to take admission to this college. You must have passed 12th with PCM. It is a basic need for taking admission in engineering course.

I'm an Electrical Engineering student and I am too satisfied with my teacher. They are putting full effort into students. They have done a great job in the past few years. There are no students who attend regular classes and get backlogs. If you attend classes daily definitely you will pass every semester. The educational background of faculties is excellent and most of the teachers had done their masters from reputed institutes. They have lots of experience in teaching.

The average package was 5 LPA. Most of the core companies and tech software companies are visiting and taking physical campus drives for hiring students. The rate of placement is high in Information Technology branch. The various companies are visiting the college like Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, GAUTAM ASSOCIATES, Sobha Limited, and many more.

The infrastructure of mess is not more large it is situated in front of the college. Hostel is a building of 2 floors with 72 rooms.1 room is allocated to two students. Seats are limited and the room rent of hostel is around Rs 24550 for a year, Rs 24000 for a year of mess, and 550 for hostel room rent.

My college is situated in a large land of 200 acre which is established in 1981. There is a large academic building with multiple departments. Big parking area on garden in front of principal office. There is performing stage in AK seth khel parisar. There is lots of quarters for faculty and two buildings of girl's hostel are there in campus. Free internet is available in the college.

The overall campus life is good. I'm a sportperson. I love to play football and cricket the institute organises inter-branch cricket and football tournaments every year. I am participating in them every year. The techfest is also organized by institute every year. Every student is participating in tech fest. There is a lot of activity happening in the tech fest like project presentation, box cricket, rangoli, singing, poetry, seminars sports, and cultural events.
