Banaras Hindu University B.A Review By Sheetal Singh

My experience is kind of life changing because I belong from rural area and exploring urban area was. This institute was nearest from my home town. It has great infrastructure and library facilities and many more things. This institute has museum also it is named Bharat Kala Bhawan having sculpture, paintings, inscriptures, etc.

University provides Bachelor of Arts (hons.) which is 3 year course not BA (program). It means there will be single subject in third year. I had geography hons. I like geography and wanted to pursue it only. I took it only because of my interest, however, it also have many scope also. Requirements are mentioned in the bulletin in the official website of BHU named bhuonline.in. For this course registration in University after CUET examination is must and subject criteria for geography are general test and language.

There are many professor and assistant professor in geography department. They are assigned for classes and there are two teachers for a semester. Per teacher takes 3 day 3 classes. Some teachers teach just orally and some provide notes of syllabus whether it is online or offline notes. Teachers take students for tour in third year.

There are many hostels in BHU. MMV has girls hostel as it is girls college and main campus has many hostel and mess also.

Campus is so huge and there are many buildings in campus. There are so many hostels in the campus and there are different departments. After entering BHU main gate there is small gate of MMV in left side of the road entering that it has many girls hostel and classes in building. However, some buildings in MMV are old they need to be renewed and bathroom also. Some classes are good.

There are so many clubs relating to debate, singing, dancing, painting, etc. There is cultural fest in BHU named Kashi Yatra. Popular singers like Darshan Raval come and perform. DJ nights are also there. There is some program like kuda bazar work for environmental cleaning, SFD work for 5J that is Jan, Jal, Jeevan, Jaanwar, Jungle, etc.
