My Campus Life in IEM Kolkata

Overall Rating
This institute not only provides education but also the opportunity to become a professional. I have chosen this institute because the academic record is remarkable and the placement is good in comparison with other institutes. This institute helps a student to grow in many ways as it has many strict rules applied for him / her. It helps the student to become more disciplined in life. If any student is willing to make their career brighter then they should definitely join this institute.
 

Academics Rating
Since I am studying BBA, I can give the idea about my course. It is mainly a 4 year course where we can get an option to choose different specialization such as Analytics, Marketing, Finance and Human resource. The eligibility criterion is 75% in 12th grade. The motive of this program is to make every student professional as this course is also known as specialization course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are very helpful. They give assignment time to time and also provide the important questions from the syllabus. All the professors are well behaved and educated in their own specialized subjects. Teachers are provided with mic which helps them to teach well. Every teacher has their own technique of teaching.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have placement cell in IEM Kolkata. According to my seniors, placement training begins from 4th semester. Students are helped to acquire internship in many companies.
 

Hostel Rating
I am a day scholar so I have no idea about the hostels but from what all I have got to know so far is that they are expensive.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 3 buildings of IEM Kolkata. One for B.Tech (the Gurukula building), one for MBA (the management building) and the Ashram campus for BBA and BCA students. The Ashram campus is small in structure. There is a café on ground floor and a canteen which provides average food. I hope the network issues are resolved soon. Lastly, there is basketball court in front of the building.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is average but if the students are looking for any kind of fun fest, there are lot of fests conducted in the institute like technological fest and MUN. There are various clubs as well in the institute like dance club, photography club, etc.

    IEM Kolkata is best for Engineering as it provides good placements. There is an AC, computer and projector in every classroom. In this college there is a basketball court and library.
