IEM Kolkata: From the Lens of a Fresher

Overall Rating
Institute of Engineering and Management has a very disciplined and strict environment. Students are provided numerous opportunities to build their skills. I would recommend others to choose this institute because it prepares students to succeed in the cooperate sector.
 

Academics Rating
I chose is BCA (Bachelor of Computer Application) because it gave me an opportunity to explore various computing skills like web designing, robotics, and many more. Students who have completed 12th class from any stream can join this course. I would like to motivate others to join this course because it has been updated to a 4 year course which will give you more opportunity to develop your skills.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties at IEM are very helpful and their teaching style is very good. They explain every concept with full clarity so that they get in-depth knowledge. This gradually helps students from non-Science background. All the members teaching this course are very supportive.
 

Placement Rating
The Placement Cell at IEM Kolkata works with every student to ensure that they get placed at reputed firms. Students are provided training to prepare for interviews and secure their future. The Cell facilitates job opportunities for every student across various industries so that they achieve success in their future career.
 

Hostel Rating
The institute offers residential facilities to students. The hostel has high security and all the hostellers must follow specific rules and regulations. Hostel infrastructure and facilities are very good and well maintained. A number of activates are organised at the hostel so that the students maintain a good relationship with each other.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of the institute has an administrative block where different meetings take place. The classes are conducted in separate parts of the building. The blocks are well developed with good infrastructure. It has remarkable sports facilities which include a games room and basketball court. Students can spend their time at canteen during lunch break. Any problems of the students are resolved in a timely manner.
 

Campus Rating
The institute conducts a number of fests every month. Competitive events like Hackathons are also organised for students. There are different kinds of club which help students explore their talent.

    IEM Kolkata is best for Engineering as it provides good placements. There is an AC, computer and projector in every classroom. In this college there is a basketball court and library.
