Nirmala College of Engineering Chalakkudy B.Tech Review By Mohammed Nizam

Nirmala College of Engineering is located in Meloor, Chalakudy. Nirmala College is located 11 km away from the centre of Chalakudy. Close to Nirmala College of Engineering, there are 4 other Nirmala Colleges like Nirmala College of Arts and Science, Nirmala College of Polytechnic, Nirmala College of MBA, and Nirmala College of Pharmacy. In Nirmala Institutions, Nirmala College of Engineering is the main block because it is at the entrance of Nirmala Institutions. The faculties of the Nirmala Institutions are good and their teaching style is amazing. In Nirmala College of Engineering, teachers are awesome and friendly. They provide a good experience for all students. They also conduct good programs and good events. In engineering, a relatively smaller number students is there compared to the other branches. Only the computer science department has strength in the number of students. There are less students in other departments. The main issue of this college is the bus fee. They say that we must pay 6 months fees in every semester, but we only have 4 months in a semester. They charge extra fees for two semesters. That is the main issue in this college. When I went to college to join the degree of Bachelor in Computer Application they tried to change my decision into taking B.Tech instead. This was my small review. It’s a decent college but it is average.

In this college, they have only 4 courses, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. Computer Science Engineering is the best course in the college. Other courses are good but less number of students join those courses. In the Computer Science Department, they have 6 faculties. 5 faculties for taking classes and one for the lab. Classes are just average. Some of the classes are great and some are worse and some are average. Teachers are well trained and they are also well educated. All teachers are friendly as well. So their classes are interesting too.

In this college, some of the teachers are good. In first year after we join, all teachers are very friendly. They are friendly initially, but then they change their behavior. In the Computer Science department, most of the teachers are good with the exception of one. But in the Mechanical Department, all are good. Their backgrounds are very good. They all graduated from good colleges and they have good skills. All are friendly and hard working too. Their style of teaching is very interesting and understandable.

In Nimala College of Engineering, the Placement Cell is good and they introduce us to big companies. Comparing to other colleges, in this college, placement is very average. We did not get high placements. Placement in our college is good, because companies like Wipro, TCS, Tata, Hyundai, etc. come to college for recruitment.

Hostel facilities here are very average. No good facilities in college. We don't have a good residential facility in the college. Its infrastructure is also very average.

In this college, the infrastructure is built like a box. There are many colleges in here with separate blocks in the institution. Many blocks are available in this college. 2 grounds are in the college and they are very bad. They are building a new turf for us and it is under construction for the past 2 years. If they complete the construction of the turf, they won't give permission to play in that turf. So many classes are available in college but they all are empty.

Sports are good but there is only one physical training teacher is available. They do not provide support to participate in other sports. They do not give permission to participate and practice. Campus life is very boring in this college. If we have more friends, we can enjoy the college. Crowd is very large so all the programs are good. Clubs are very boring in this college and some fests are good.
