College Experience at SRIT

Overall Rating
SRIT is the best college in Anantapur. This college provides CSE with Data Science as specialisation, that's why I chose this college. Second reason is that college placement offers are also good compared to other colleges. We have the best computer labs and digital library facilities. Minimum three workshops are conducted in the seminar hall in a week. We are proud to have supportive faculty.
 

Academics Rating
As I'm a Data Science student, every semester I've to clear six subjects and three labs. One virtual internship is provided by Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation. Each subject has five units. I need to write two mid exams (mid 1 and mid 2). Mid1 contains two and half unit syllabus and Mid 2 contains another two and half unit syllabus. Each Mid has thirty marks. After mid exams, we have semester exams for five units.
 

Faculty Rating
College faculty is supportive and strict in following college rules. They have good teaching skills and some faculty behavior is not nice. Sometimes they are lagging with syllabus but they cover it with online classes. Each faculty has completed M.Tech in various colleges. Different faculty teaches in different styles. Some use PPTs, black board, and word document but they explain well.
 

Placement Rating
Our college has better placements; around fifty eight companies visited our college including small and big like Accenture, Tata Consultancy Services, Savantis, Virtusa, and more. Recently, Training and Placement Cell faculty conducted a one week program on C and python to perform in interviews. They have good programming and communication skills. So, our Placement Cell is great.
 

Hostel Rating
Our college has hostel facility with a capacity of sixty five thousand. According to my friends’ information, the hostel is not worth the money. Hostel provides same food for many days. Food is limited.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college infrastructure is good. It has totally four blocks such as A, B, C, and Main Block. A block contains CSD, EEE, and ECE departments. B block contains CSM, CSE, Seminar hall, and Civil departments. C block contains library and computer lab. Main block contains administrative section, Training and Placement Cell, seminar hall, and Humanity and Sciences department. Some hall like rooms are there for mechanical, electrical, and civil branch labs.
 

Campus Rating
Our campus life is not good. I feel that we don't have any freedom to move in the campus because of strict rules. If someone is found outside of the class without proper reason, security takes our ID card and asks for fine. We need permission to go anywhere in the college like canteen, library, and ground or else pay fine. We have various clubs like Toaster master, Save A Rupee Organisation, Shutter Bug, English Club, and National Cadet Corps. Our college conducts annual day every year in the month of April. Workshops are conducted and chief guests are called for skill development.

    Overall Rating
    I joined SRIT in 2020 as a lateral entry student after completing my diploma. Students here have to perform multitasking. At first I was confused with the work schedules. Later, understood and realised that even I can do multitasking. I learnt many theoretical concepts which were explained by extremely talented and experienced faculty.     Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology is the one of the good colleges for knowledge and learning. Recently this college has become autonomous. SRIT is well established with security and have the strict environment. The college has spacious classrooms, labs, and a huge central library with a large collection of books.
