UTU is the best college of Surat district. The campus is very pretty and clean, also teachers are very friendly. They celebrate all the festivals and the overall environment is also quite good. Studies always are at the front run as attendance of 75% is compulsory. So one has to adhere to that, otherwise the college is quite good.

Academically, 12th pass in PCM is all that is required. Once you enroll, it starts with an orientation program and then long lectures take over. Teachers are highly skilled and with extra lectures, things get easy but studies are tough to be honest. Passing percentage is also a shade above 60%. Now you can imagine how tough the studies are.

Faculties are amazing as all are passed from reputed institutes. Their expertise and hold on the subject is just too good. They are strict but are easy to approach, as we had fun with them during free time and some of the professors are indeed our friends. Apart from studies, teachers also help us in placements and internships as well.

Placements aren't that heavy but placement percentage is quite good. Last year we saw a lot of infra companies make their way like IRB Infra and Dilip Buildcon, among others. On an average, students were offered an initial salary of 25k a month.

The hostel is not good, the building is awesome but from the inside, it's filthy. Food is provided thrice in a day, but that too is pretty average.

College is huge and there are innumerous facilities such as labs, amphitheatre, and multiple auditoriums as well. Pushpam Tarsadia auditorium is the biggest with a seating capacity of nearly 1000 students at once. All small or big events take place there and it comes to life during the prom night. So, the infrastructure is pretty much 10/10.

Since my forte is sports, I will be found at tea posts and the gym. Ballus tapri and soda shop are the biggest highlights as majority of students are found there during off hours. So, students who are foodies are found in the cafeterias and those interested in sports are seen at sporting facilities.
