B.Tech at Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Berhampur

Overall Rating
I got this college as per the rank I secured in the JEE Mains examination which is conducted by NTA. According to my rank I got the branch also. Teaching method is very good and the faculty members are also responsible for their students. If I share my overall review, the campus life is very good but placement is somehow not good in this college. This is only due to mismanagement from the college authority. Otherwise, this is a very good college.
 

Academics Rating
In this college, there are more than 8 branches. The selection process is done as per the OJEE counseling, the rank secured in JEE Main is very important to get a good branch in any good college. So, if you want to join CSE then a rank below 1.5 lakh is a must to get a seat in this college. Campus life is very good.
 

Faculty Rating
Every faculty member is well-experienced and most of the professors are Ph.D. holders from top IIT and NITs. Teachers are very friendly and of helping nature, but some teachers are not. Overall study and classes are very good. Lab facility and library facilities are also available in this college.
 

Placement Rating
In this college, there is a Placement Cell. In every branch, there is also a grievance committee for the placement and one faculty member is selected as the coordinator for the committee. Every student is treated the same and given equal opportunity. But there are a less number of placements every year.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, this college has residential facilities inside the campus; there are 2 girls’ hostels and 3 boys’ hostels inside the campus. The campus is very green. Hostel life is very good and enjoyable; you will never forget the hostel life. 24x7 water and electricity are available. There is also a mess in every hostel for food. Hostel food is also good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is very good. This college is situated in 100 acres of land. There are 5 hostels, one big play ground, one big central library, utility block, 2 big parking places, and academic building. Staff quarters are also there; 2 types of staff quarters are inside the campus. Almost every building is 5 floors; every building has a lift.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very good. If I have to describe my campus life; I will never forget these 4 years of my life. It is very memorable. There is a very big campus here, every one lives like a family, and there is a very friendly environment. There are several clubs in the campus for extracurricular activities also.

    Parala Maharaja Engineering College BERHAMPUR is a very good college for B.Tech in the branch like civil and electrical. I opt for civil because I have a interest in civil engineering. The college has a better infrastructure and better faculty in civil that’s why I chose civil and this college has better infrastructure than other colleges like Indira Gandhi institute of technology Sarang.     As per me this is one of the best colleges in Odisha for engineering. It has some of the most advanced lab in the state. It has open gym for workout, for jogging and you could take care of your health as per your wish. It has large smart classrooms with high-tech facility.     Parala Maharaja Engineering College is situated in a greenery area. It is surrounded by different kind of trees. The atmosphere is also good. I loved being a part of this college.     Our college is best college in this area. Overall it has an excellent building, campus, most attractive garden, great environment, etc. It provides quality education, library system, and supportive professors.
