Government Engineering College B.Tech Review By Devanand Sajeev

I have been continuing my degree for almost a year. I am currently in my second semester. The best attraction of this college is that there is no ragging from seniors and there is very nice climate except for summers. Compared to other colleges, the campus is small but the life in it is the best.

So far, the best department is computer science and engineering. They have been having the highest passing percentage here, in my class it was 90 percent. Teachers are very well qualified. But some of them are not that great. But they are all supportive and very liberal. For enrolling here, you have to pass KEAM entrance exam. The eligibility is 12th pass with physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

Faculty here is highly qualified. Most of them have Ph.Ds. There are also teachers who understand students and create a rapport with them. They support with any issue the students face, they are really friendly when they need to be. Office faculty may fail to give some information on time, as you know it's a government office, so it has its own limitations.

There are 3 blocks; main block, new block, and one more. As of now, a new block is being built. Campus is small as there are only 3 blocks but all three blocks are sufficient as of now. All the departments have their own seminar halls. There is an availability of infrastructure needed by the students and faculties.

The overall campus life is amazing. I have been enjoying a lot here. There are so many clubs. I am a part of the music club and an IEEE member. Arts day was conducted here and it was a 4 day program. We all had a blast then. NSS is active here and they have social commitment. They perform activities and other tasks such as blood donation. Clubs like dance club and sports club are all active. We also have our own department club which provides classes for our own students on programming languages.
