ABES Institute of Technology B.Tech Review By Amit Yadav

ABES Institute of Technology is affiliated with AKTU, Lucknow. It is one of the great institutions in UP. ABESIT admission process is concerned, it considers the score of UPTU Exam and in some cases also considers direct admission. In case you are wondering what is UPTU exam, it is an exam conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University. ABESIT management is really good there is no problem at all. You get things done on time and there is a system which goes just fine. There different departments which take care of everything they are concerned with.

I have joined B.Tech ECE programme which is of 4 years. Eligibility for the exam is 65% plus in 12th and UPTU exam and in case of direct admission, college entrance exam. The subjects in the course have matched my expectations and I happy that I chose this college. I opted for this course because I wanted to pursue a technical background and I was interested in micro chips and coding. I wanted to know more about circuits. It is helpful in getting job as companies want people with knowledge of micro chips and coding and if not you can have your own start up.

To the extent I know and my faculty there are approx. 22-24 teachers in the course but if we talk about whole college there are many teachers. They have about 6-8 yrs of experience and their qualification is minimum M.Tech and a lot of them are Ph.D. They are very supportive and excellent, they are filled with knowledge but they have one drawback that they don't know how to explain themselves.

For placement and internships there is a placement cell called CRC which provides for both placements and internships. Many top companies visit our college like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, Byjus, etc. The highest package has been around 21 LPA but the average ranges from about 4 to 6 LPA and approx. 70% of students receive placement through college.

The hostel facility is provided by the college and there is girls hostel and boys hostel. In girls hostel there is no sharing of rooms. Rooms are allotted to one person each. But in boys hostel, it is sharing (double and triple). The curfew timing for girls is 6 PM. and for boys it is 10 PM. Both the hostels are separate and the fee is approx. 78k per year. Food has variety but its taste is not so good, but they care of hygiene and cleaning staff is always available. There is strict security in campus and in hostel. They keep you safe as much as they can.

My college covers about 17 acres of land in which it has 1 building (block D) for B. pharma and the 3 (Block A,B,C) for B. tech. There is an auditorium in block D and workshops happen all the time. There is a texas lab and the classrooms are really good, they are very spacious. There is medical room in the ground floor of block A and there always a doctor available there in case of emergency.

There are many extracurricular activities like dancing singing and all the competitions like debate, extempore, painting, etc. We had different clubs as well for these activities. There is a 2 day annual fest organised by college called Festing-o-beats in which there are many activities like fashion show, ramp walk, solo dance, group dance, etc. but the amazing part is robo war. My overall campus life has been amazing. It breaks to leave this college that I have graduated but it was an amazing experience in this college, amazing teachers with so much of support and everything. I made a home here.
