Pydah College of Pharmacy B.Pharm Review By Arshita

Firstly I'm a passed out Student (2016-2020).And let me tell you I want to go back to 2016 and stop myself from joining there. Campus wise it's spacious enough, climate is good but that's the only place GOOD word can be used for this college. No international accreditations, affiliated under AU. I didn't hear the college being positioned in any rank in my entire College life. Admission process is sweet and sugary just like every other college but what matters is the next part after admissions. Management is very poor and needs to change the concerned one's as soon as possible.

I've joined B.Pharmacy through EAMCET. Academics is the only thing I can rate a star more than other fields because of the subject I chose I guess, it's nice and yeah jobs are very easy to find if you excel the exams properly. Reason is nothing particular. Eligibility is not important as its private. Course subjects are to my expectations and it's easy if you are interested in that field and obviously if you're from BiPC field. Its fine as long as you write any entrance exam related to BiPC to get a seat there.

We have 3-4 lecturers that are completely genuine. Other faculty are mostly busy with non-educational matters and the faculty count is too low. 1 teacher manages approximately 3 subjects that are totally different streams. Teaching is okay if you follow up with the books and library (which don't have enough books) all the seniors and juniors hoarding those 5-6 books per subject during exams is the worst nightmare one can have. Library is a big minus for the college.

Not very frequent but companies like HETERO, HCL, WIPRO do come time to time and they recruits 3% of the entire students and the pay is as basic as 1.7L CTC for freshers. Highest package is not revealed which I assume is around 3L CTC. (I'm talking about engineering stream as I didn't come across a single pharma recruitment while I was studying) So I can't rate or I can't assume the salaries for my field but according to my seniors talk I find pharma recruitment very low compared to engineering and I don't want you to keep hopes when it comes to campus interviews.

Yeah hostel is there separately for both girls and boys charging around 6k per month AC and 1600-1800 Non AC. Girls do have a good for nothing hostel with a total of 2 rooms inside a corner of the college premises itself. Food is average and security is just fine. No complaints in terms of security. Food is very basic south Indian 3-4 meals and it's actually good no complaints on that too. But the availability will be a problem if came 10 min before or after and day scholars will not be provided the hostel menu unless quantity is more that day. So a point to keep in mind. Boys hostel is large compared to girls with 12-13 rooms I presume not the correct figure though.

As I told earlier, premise is nice and airy with trees and small ponds. Classrooms 7-8 functional with 4 labs and a seminar hall spacious enough. Playground is quite large and a canteen with very basic food. Medical and emergency support would be okay in terms of small wounds. No stores as such and no other facilities other than these. No building near the college as it's in a isolated area with the worst bus facility ever. Do not I repeat do not take the college bus and please use your own safe means of travel for the college if you ever join there. Time to time bus fees will be collected but the crowd oh my god 60 seating bus is provided for 140 people and I'm not kidding and the worst seating with 2nd hand buses also not a single person is allotted his/her seat including staff shares a seat with 2 more people.

Fests and celebrations are decent enough. Learning and interaction is also good. Overall view in this box would be given a 4 star. Please note that these are my honest reviews with no grudges hold because I want people to know where they are stepping before they go in. No college trips for pharma students. We had just one industrial trip for a half day in our entire 4 years. Other fields like dairy, agriculture do have trips and field days here and there that I heard of and no idea about engineering field. Overall celebrations are nice, celebrities come time to time and some gatherings are informative like on Pharma day, women's day, pharma week, engineering day and also few audio release event takes place sometimes.
