INMANTEC Institutions BBA Review By Shailesh Chauhan

People from different cities and states come to INMANTEC College Ghaziabad for studies. This is because this is one of those colleges of Ghaziabad that has its popularity beyond Delhi/NCR. For me, it was more because of the locality that I chose this college. 5-minute drive and that was it. From a student's point of view, the campus of the college has almost everything that one may think of in a college campus. BBA was not just a mere BBA at the college as we were all taught about financial markets and along with BBA degree were also awarded from NSE. Students also had the option of learning digital marketing at the college. Thus, BBA was quite handy because we had the option of exploring a lot more. One thing that was hyped and promised and didn’t happen was the foreign industrial tour. It has happened though in past but not when I was at the college. The multiple certificates that are awarded with the degree helped in getting the job easier and that’s what makes Inmantec one of the best colleges in Ghaziabad.

Advanced methods with a quick turnaround between the classes. Coming from a mediocre school, it looked a little different at the beginning. Adapting to the new circumstances was relatively easier as the students and the faculty were quite helpful. BBA department was more fun-filled because we were the ones who enjoyed the majority beyond academics. The college has a lot to offer in terms of competitions, and events. The course was divided into 6 semesters and each semester we had new subjects. Attendance of 50% was required. It is perhaps less than many reputed colleges but because some of the students already had established businesses behind them, the college also went easy on them.

I never knew that Ghaziabad colleges have IIM passed outs as professors before I joined Inmantec Institutions. The total number of faculty was around 20 for our department. None of the teachers changed as the students and teachers both were happy with the kind of facilities they were provided at the college. We used to have chat with our teachers on any topic and even they used to laugh their day out with us. Hard to believe though but the faculty still treated us like school kids. Their warmth affection and a little bit of charity in marks helped us have good scores on our report cards.

This is rather an irrelevant thing because apart from engineers, there are hardly any graduate courses that offer any form of placements in India. I have friends from other reputed institutes pursuing graduation and even they said hardly 20-30% of students from their college had the placements. In the name of placement 3 banks, i.e., Axis, HDFC, and ICICI who after they were done with MBA students had some roles to fill. For that BBA students were asked to interview and likewise, 20-30% of students finally had the on-campus placements. Don’t believe in the rumors of 100% placement records because they were just not meant to be.

Migrating student numbers have increased over the years and to cater to that, the college has built 2 boys and 1 girls hostel inside the college campus. Hostel students had many facilities like clean rooms, nice food, and most importantly security. The guards would never let any form of ragging or manhandling inside the hostel. The hostel rooms also had air-conditioners but they were operational between February and April. Bathrooms were attached and generators were arranged to make sure that students don’t face power cut problems which were common in Ghaziabad 3-4 years down the line.

The college campus is buildings look great from the exterior but from inside the time has come for the college to make some renovations. The ACs made so much noise that even professors avoid starting them. The college auditorium will give you the feeling of a PVR as it is built in line with that of a multiplex. It was used quite often and I loved watching seminars and events from the seats because I hardly participated. The college has 2 gymnasiums, one each for boys and girls. The boy's gym had some outdated equipment and hardly any students went there. The computer lab again was too compact because there was hardly any leg space and also because the computers were placed so close to each other that it was difficult to maintain privacy in the computer lab. The faculty cabin also looked like some government office chamber. The college campus has a Bank of Baroda ATM that is operational 24*7. The college also has decent sporting facilities with 2 basketball courts and an indoor sports room.

At, Inmantec students feel as if they have conquered Mt. Everest coming to this college. The college is good without a doubt but not the next level thing. Having a glass building and building a student balcony are great initiatives but Inmantec is not the only college that has it. Talent at the college was amazing and the college also provided a lot of chances for students to perform at certain events. One commendable thing that the college management did was gave everyone a fair chance. Students who performed on Independence Day were not made to perform again on Republic Day. Thus, a college that treated everyone the same and provided everyone the equal opportunity is what Inmantec believes in.
