Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre is an autonomous institution affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University situated in Thiruvilwamala in Thrissur district of Kerala, approved by AICTE with NAAC 'A' grade. I have not spent a lot of time here since I joined this college last year (2023) so I cannot share much experience but from my little experience, I can say that college is pretty good. We can join this college after qualifying KEAM entrance exam which is conducted every year. This college has conferred autonomous status last year (2023) for a period of 10 year and very few engineering colleges have conferred this status.

This college provides various engineering courses including AI&ML, mechatronics, etc. Anyone from PCMB/PCM stream who has qualified KEAM entrance can join this college and their courses, as being an autonomous institution you get to study latest syllabus and more industry required skills. As we know AI is future hence studying such courses would be beneficial for the students.

All the faculty members are very well qualified and they know very well about their subjects, they give their 100% in teaching us. Most of the faculties are very friendly and understanding, they push us to do our best and always keep us motivated throughout our semester. They are always ready to clear our doubts and help us out.

Yes, our college has its own placement cell and it does help students acquire jobs in the industry.

Yes, our college does provide hostel facilities but I don't know much about the hostel since I'm a day scholar.

We have a very huge campus with great infrastructure and green campus; we have different blocks for first year and senior year students. Almost all of the class rooms are smart classrooms, and we have a huge auditorium and library. We have a great canteen with a lot of food options and they do taste pretty good.

Campus life is pretty good, in fact the environment is pretty strict but still we get a lot of time to enjoy the campus life. We have a great technical fest called NSITE and it really wonderful. Campus is not too crowded, we have NCC, NSS, and some clubs. A lot of technical activities happen regularly for all the branches in connection with IEEE. The main highlight is that we have one of the best cultural fests called Bloom, which lasts for 3 days where we have musical nights by great singers, DJ, and many different programs.
