Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology B.Tech Review By Mohit Joshi

As I am still a student of College of Technology, Pantnagar. I know the worth of being in this amazing institution. The events that held here are of top-notch quality. Once you have attended any of these events, you will less likely to forget it in your entire lifetime. We began attending colleges once again after the COVID-19 break. The institution didn't put any pressure of attending classes, instead, they made us had fun with multiple programs like Interaction with seniors, batch mates and professors. We started getting along with the college pretty quick, as the surroundings were so friendly and helpful.

I have joined the B.Tech course here in College of technology, Pantnagar. The university is quite popular for its B.Tech, veterinary and agricultural courses. I am glad I joined one of them. To join the B.Tech program here, one has to qualify JEE exam and then the admission is based on state counseling that is the UTU counseling. After the state counseling, the college has its own spot rounds for selection of students. Here are in total of 8 courses available under the B.Tech program. Moreover, the competition to join this institution is pretty impressive too.

Here I found 15-20 faculty in my department, and likewise, every department has certain number of faculties. Moreover, in our starting days at college we were made to attend the induction programs where we learnt about our professors and teachers. I was very glad to be able to found that all our professors comes such an achieving background which I didn't even imagine. Moreover, each of our professors holds and enormous amount of expertise and experience in their subjects. Their expertise can be directly seen on their amazing teaching manner.

The placements here are fine. Generally, in our college students prefer to go for higher studies or government exams. However, people still sit and study for placements. I would say it doesn't happen you will see big companies every year but still pretty good companies do enter our college. The average pack last year was around 5 LPA, however, the highest package went to 18 LPA. Mostly students who sit for on-campus placements here, gets placed somewhere.

In our college, most of the students reside in hostels only. But there is another option of being a day scholar too. In our university there are total 22 hostels divided among the students of 8 colleges. For our college there are 6 hostels, 4 for boys and 2 for girls. Girls and boys hostels are separated and are not very far from the college, which makes it easy for students to attend college. In our first year, one room of hostel is divided among 3 students. In the second year, one room is for 2 students, and for the third and fourth year, you get your separate room. Each year's boys hostel is different. The food quality of each hostel that you get in your course of 4 years is good. Sometimes it is so better, you will wait for food eagerly. Rooms are not very big, and not much room is available in the corridor which makes it hard to dry your clothes under the sun. Hostel timing is 7 PM for boys and 6:30 PM for girls. Our university comes among the largest universities of the world, which means it has a pretty huge area. Also, a major part of it is because of agricultural fields that are spread out on the circumference. The campus area is huge, natural beauty all around that is what Pantnagar is famous for. All the essential things like college, market, shops, stadiums, and parks are nearby to hostels, so one does not have to travel a lot, but still, the distance is pretty spread out. Students here use bicycles for their day-to-day routines, which is a healthy habit.

Campus life of my college is very impressive. Moreover there are 8 colleges in our universities, therefore at each time of some other event is always going on from any college. All the students can join them and have fun. There are beautiful parks, to hang out with your friends. Also, there are so many societies, each conducting its own events which are the best places to meet new people and have fun.
