The Autonomous College

Overall Rating
This is one of the best DRCC colleges in Amritsar. The college provides 70% placements and internships every year. It has an autonomous status with NAAC grade A and NBA accreditation. It provides plenty of facilities for its students.
 

Academics Rating
I was very interested in the IT sector but I had opted for science in 12th, so after my gradation I decided to do BCA. To be eligible for this course one must pass 12th with a minimum of 60%. BCA is the best choice for those who want to make their career in the IT sector.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties have completed their Masters and are Ph.D holders. Most of them are well experienced and very supportive. They also provide extra classes for those students who have any doubts. They provide study materials like PDFs, PPTs and online sites for students.
 

Placement Rating
This college provides placement opportunities for students. Many big companies like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and Accenture etc. visit for campus placement. Last year 70% of students from BCA were placed. The average package was 2.5 lakhs per annum.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facilities are provided by the college. Four students are allotted in one room. A study table, chair, bed and cupboard are given to each student. Meals are given three times a day. But the quality of food is not so good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has a pretty decent infrastructure. But the campus size is comparatively smaller than other colleges in Amritsar. There are many blocks for different departments like Law, Pharmacy, Applied Science and Computer Applications etc. There is a canteen and two mini cafeterias for the students.
 

Campus Rating
Every year the cultural fest, “Prayass” is held. Many festivals and events are conducted throughout the year like the fresher’s party and many more. There are plenty of tournaments held for sports activities like football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, badminton and kabaddi.
