My college experience at SCBMCH

Overall Rating
It is situated at the heart of the millennial city, Cuttack. It has an impeccable legacy towards creating the best doctors of Odisha. The alumni network never fails to prove the legacy. It is one of the best state governed medical colleges of east India. It ensures a healthy competitive environment for studies.
 

Academics Rating
MBBS is a premier and vast course. You have to clear NEET-UG with a good rank to be eligible for S.C.B.M.C.H. My motive for choosing this career is to serve the needy whole heartedly. Moreover, biology (especially human anatomy) fascinates me. This 5.5 year course is sure to mold you into a good doctor.
 

Faculty Rating
All the professors are specialist in their domain. The curriculum is made in a way that helps the students in hands-on practice. The faculties are great in explaining difficult topics in very simple ways. All the faculty members have done their post graduation from premier medical institutes.
 

Placement Rating
Every student who passes the final year is placed for medical internships. Placements are given according to ones NEET-PG result. The internship stipend is around Rs.30,000 per month.
 

Hostel Rating
S.C.B.M.C.H. gives hostel facilities. All the hostels are in pretty good condition. There are well maintained and clean. There are reading rooms so students can do self-study without any disturbances. Canteen and messes are available in the hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
24/7 Wi-Fi facilities are provided within the hostel premises. The academic block is quite close to the hostel buildings. There is a hospital building in the campus. The classroom is fitted with ACs and projectors. The academic block also has a public reading room and a central library.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good. Though the hospital building is always overcrowded, the hostels are very peaceful. There are many fests like the Synapse held every year. The campus has many sports facilities like cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton and swimming. For extracurricular activities many clubs are there like the dramatics club and dance club. S.C.B.M.C.H. has a huge campus and a pretty good campus life.
