IIT Jammu (Dreams Of Those Who Wants IIT)

Overall Rating
In the tough race of JEE advanced; getting an IIT is extremely tough these days. I am satisfied with my college as it's an institute of national importance. It is a government college and it has high class facilities. I didn't get very good rank but at OBC NCL rank 4263 choosing this college is decent choice. It's best 3rd gen IIT.
 

Academics Rating
It follows curriculum of IIT Delhi so it's a good thing. All the professors and teaching assistants are very qualified and humble with students. They always support students in every situation. You can't easily make good CGPA if you don't study well as here is also competition for grades.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are the main reason for being best 3rd generation IIT. They have deep knowledge in their subjects. They are more practical than theoretical. They also engage with students in other activities like sports etc. They are kind and humble.
 

Placement Rating
IIT Jammu has concluded the placements for the Class of 2023 with an 85% placement rate. As per the latest report, over 129 recruiters participated in the placement process and offered 224 job offers to the batch of 2023. The highest and average package offered during IIT Jammu placements in 2023 was INR 53 LPA and INR 17 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters of IIT Jammu placements in 2023 included Infosys, L&T, Amazon, HCL, IBM, TCS, ICICI Bank, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Old Hostels are good. They have all the basic facilities and some indoor sports item. But the new hostels are way too good. They have single occupancy with large room and have AC.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Here infrastructure is developing day by day, all the basic facilities, and buildings are built but many more facilities like large halls, large library, and theatre are going to be constructed soon. A very large sports complex is also under construction which will have facilities for many outdoor sports such as cricket, football, basketball etc.
 

Campus Rating
Clubs are way more interesting and interactive. All the heads have high knowledge of their clubs The intake of IIT Jammu is 280 per year (2023) and in future it will be increased. Many fests are organised in IIT Jammu and the management is also good.

    My overall experience of institute after completing 1st semester is quite good. I like the natural beauty and scenic view is good. Being new, we lack alumni network and many other facilities, but slowly our infrastructure is being built. The new sports complex will be opened in few months.... Read Full Review
