C.I.T.K.- A Great College

Overall Rating
Since this is a government institute and everyone is always fascinated to study in a government college. I too wanted it study in it. The infrastructure of this college is great. The faculty is helpful and supportive as well. Placements are quite good in CSE and Civil Engineering. Classes are held regularly and the hostel facility is also great. The fees structure is very less, Rs. 30,000- 50,000 per semester including the hostel fees, academic fees and mess fees. Overall, the college is awesome.
 

Academics Rating
This college provides all the courses including B.Tech, M.Tech, Ph.D and diploma courses. For the diploma course eligibility is 10+ and for B.Tech it is 12+. The departments for B.Tech include Civil Engineering, Food Engineering, MCD, ECE and CSE. The college holds a mid-terminal examination in the middle of the semester and an end-terminal semester examination per semester.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties take care of each and every student. All the faculties from all departments are perfect and very concerned about the students. Class tests, questions answer rounds, etc. take place almost regularly. The library contains numerous books for the students and faculties. The faculty teachers consult the students to study the library books to gain knowledge apart from what’s provided in the class.
 

Placement Rating
The college has a placement cell. The overall placement is quite good. It is very helpful in providing adequate information to us. Almost all the branches have placements but CSE, ECE and the Civil Engineering departments have the most placements.
 

Hostel Rating
There are separate hostels buildings for the girls and boys. Each hostel room contains 2-3 students. There is strict and hygienic mess. The hostel security is nice.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has almost 300 acres of land with great maintenance. There is a gym to take care of our physical health, a park to spend a quality time, an auditorium, canteens with hygienic food, a health centre for the sick, a basketball court, 2-3 badminton courts, a football ground, a tennis court, and a beautiful pond with a gorgeous view. ACs are also provided inside a few classes. The overall infrastructure is perfect. There are different buildings for each department with well maintained labs. There is a huge library where we can find numerous books for academic purposes.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is quite fascinating and enjoyable. The college has a very big area which is maintained with great care. Apart from having a quality education system, the college also takes care of the student’s mental and physical health. Hence, a gym and a health centre are available for the students all day. There is a huge 2-storey library where students can collect knowledge by reading books comfortably, in an air conditioned and clean environment.

    My overall experience in CITK till now has been great if I'm being honest. I have always wanted to be an engineer so when I got to know about CITKEE I sat in the exam and luckily got my admission. I got to know that civil branch is the best in this college so I opted for Civil Engineering particularly.     C.I.T. is one of the most prestigious colleges in the North-East India. The most beautiful and wonderful library is present in this college. The campus is better than other government colleges of Assam. I got into this college through the JEE Main exam.
