My Experience at Indian Institute of Information Technology

Overall Rating
IIIT Ranchi is new therefore the curriculum is updated. I have chosen this college because of my personal interest in Computer Science and Engineering. The coding culture is great here and peer group is competitive. There is internship as well as research centers to pursue your interest in the respective fields.
 

Academics Rating
The college offers 2 courses: - Computer Science and Electronics Engineering. The curriculum is updated and is of industry standard. The admission is based on JEE MAINS score and on the basis of your ranking you get the course. Once you qualify the exam then through counseling you can get this college. The motive is to produce high quality skilled engineers to build the future.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are friendly and they are always there to help you out be it queries related to course or in general welfare. Most of them are from premium institutes like IITs. They teach generally in English language. They use various real life examples to relate the topic with real life scenarios.
 

Placement Rating
IIIT Ranchi placement is improving year on year and in the year 2023 the average package was 17 LPA and highest package was around 83 LPA offered by Atlassian. The placement cell is active and helps the students to get the best out of all the possibilities.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes we do have residential facilities in the institute. The hostel life is decent with all basic facilities included. The rooms are well equipped. The infrastructure is maintained. There are flats as hostels and 6 students live in one flat.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is currently running under the temporary campus as the college is not that old but all the basic facilities are available be it great classrooms, library and study rooms as well as well equipped labs. The mess is attached with the academic block as well as separate mess is available with the hostel rooms.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is kind of average. There are various clubs to excel in the field of technology. The coding club in our institute is called as House of Geeks where there are various wings inside it like Cp wing, Software wing, Blockchain wing, etc. Apart from technical societies we have cultural club as well like Saaz for Singing, Rangbaaz for drama and Kirti for Art and craft, and more.

    I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because my rank didn't allow me to do CSE (I wasn't interested in ECE) and the lecturer to student ratio is 64:1. If one is only interested in placements, then only one should join this IIIT. College life is negligible. One should enrol in NITs if they want to enjoy college life.... Read Full Review

    Overall, a good college with decent college life and placement and outside market is available for necessary things. Classes have centralized AC but only fan is functioning, one ground is available for playing, mess food is satisfactory, and hostel is very good compared to IIT and NIT. Teachers are very helpful....
