Overall Rating
Most important thing is that if you are living in the Northern part of country, your rank is between 35,000 to 50,000, and you want to pursue your B.Tech in Computer science branch then you must secure admission in this Institute. Its return of investment is also satisfactory due to its excellent placement assistance. Its average package for CS branch is nearly 16 LPA to 17 LPA.

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.Tech in Computer Science & Machine Learning, because it is my dream to become a Software Engineer. You have to give an examination named JEE Main and get a good ranking, based on which, you will get admission in this course. Admission process is quite simple, you have will be allotted a seat via JoSAA counselling There are 8 semesters and in every semester you have to take an exam.
At Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi, you have to make payment of program fee in every one year, which contains two semesters. Total fees for my opted program is Rs. 13,00,000/- (in 2024).

Faculty Rating
Faculties here in IIIT Ranchi are quite supportive. One thing I noticed is that they are genuinely interested to help students to place all their students. They actively engage in students project work and help them in resolving their issues. They give us tasks to improve our understanding in computer software. At the end of one semester, they conduct review examination of all the students.

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is average. This the one aspect where a lot of improvement is required. However, campus & its amenities are currently under renovation. The classrooms are fully equipped with modern and digital equipment & projectors. It has all facilities like canteen, playground, seminar halls, and much more.

Campus Rating
Through the lens of mine, I see my Institute as a better place for any student who wishes to fulfill his aspiration to become an Engineer from a reputed Institute. A number of sports, cultural, and technical events are organised by the management so that we can enjoy our campus life.

The reason to choose the college was very simple and that was the placements of the college. Our college has average placement of ₹16.83 lakh. Also the faculties are well qualified and very helpful towards students. Currently we don't have a permanent campus but in coming 1-2 years the college will have its own campus.... Read Full Review

I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because my rank didn't allow me to do CSE (I wasn't interested in ECE) and the lecturer to student ratio is 64:1. If one is only interested in placements, then only one should join this IIIT. College life is negligible. One should enrol in NITs if they want to enjoy college life.... Read Full Review

Overall, a good college with decent college life and placement and outside market is available for necessary things.
