Pallavi Engineering College – My Views

Overall Rating
I choose this particular college because my school is Pallavi and they recommended me this college. I didn't know much about the colleges so I joined this college on recommendation. It is in developing phase and needs a lot of improvement. I think it may take 3 to 4 years for change.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission into this institute you need to write EAMCET exam, after qualifying the exam apply for counseling and then join college. Coming to the course information, mine is R18 regulation and it is not present industry relevant and depending on them you will have no backlogs but will not be job ready. During semester there will be 2 mid exams and end semester exam. All the branches of first year will have the same subject and then core subjects come into picture.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is also average. Some of the faculty is highly qualified and knowledgeable and they teach well. They use blackboards and follow school type techniques and model for teaching. The topics are taught without any practical application. There are no projectors and computers in the classroom to execute software or to explain lessons.
 

Placement Rating
About 80% students got placements. Companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, Byju's, and more visit the college for hiring students. Placement is semi active. Highest package is 7 LPA, lowest is 1.8 LPA and average is 3 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes college do have hostel facilities but outside the college. Hostel has Wi-Fi and other basic amenities. The infrastructure of the hostel is also good. But there are no recreational activities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is average. Some of the labs are highly equipped with latest software and hardware but some of the labs are not that good. The systems used in the labs are outdated and they don't support any technologies. There are no research laboratories and incubation center in the college. The ground is also not good and there are not enough sports equipment in the college for students. Classrooms are not up to the mark and there are no projectors.
 

Campus Rating
Overall the campus life here is average. Fests and events are conducted frequently. Annual day, technical fest and sports competitions are held every year. There are clubs like Technical, Cultural, Entrepreneurship, and Sports. Guest lecture related to different topics are also conducted in the college. Even Haritha Haram program is conducted in our college to bring awareness in students. We have social responsibility programs in collaboration with NSS where we help people in need in nearby villages of college.

    Well, I joined this college because it was nearby and it has the least fee in the city, Rs. 75,000 per year. I joined through the management quota, not counselling.     My college is an average college. I choose this college because I was more interested in getting a Computer Science degree and in EAMCET counseling I got this college for the course I want.     My overall experience at this institute was average. The faculty was so good and friendly with every student. Their support for students was very good. Coming to sports, infrastructure and academics, they were not up to my expectations in my 4 years of B.Tech life. But I enjoyed every moment with my friends and some faculty members....     I have joined in this institute through an EAMCET rank. At first its Nagole institute of Technology and when I joined the college it changed the name to Pallavi and was claimed by Delhi Public School. So everyone thought that this will become one of the greatest colleges. But it hasn't changed at all in these 4 years. The fee was low when I was joined. It's just 45600/- and I got scholarship.
