My views on Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College

Overall Rating
My college life was full of projects and examinations. I found myself very difficult to involve in the activities in the college. I took almost 2 years to participate actively. They are too much strict which is not at all necessary. The faculty was not so good but some of them were very good and helped us a lot. Coming to the placements, they only focused on some people who have the ability to get the placement and remaining was just ignored. There were only internships but not placement opportunities.
 

Academics Rating
In the academics part, you won't be getting any kind of support because you have to study individually on your own. The exams are conducted timely and the results are also declared timely. They will be very strict in regards of examinations. One who has the ability to study on their own can be able to sustain here very easily. We should focus on the studies from 1st semester itself to get an overall good result at the end of our course. We should try to learn things on our own but should not fully depend on the faculty.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is not that impressive. They just focus on completing their syllabus and they don't care whether the students are able to get it or not. But few faculties were very friendly and they tried very hard to make the subject clear and easy to understand. They used to clear all our doubts and we can also find some lab technicians in the labs that were very helpful during lab sessions.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have a placement cell where all the students’ details are registered and the details are sent to the respective companies who are coming for placement. When compared to other colleges, I find this college has better placement opportunities and many students were placed with around 4-5LPA. Along with placements, they made us to do internships which were very helpful to us during placements.
 

Hostel Rating
We can find both college hostels and private hostels around the college premises. Coming to the college hostel, it was quite good but the price was too high. Good facilities were provided in the hostel. No water problem was there any time. They do provide Wi-Fi facility and coming to the food, it was nice. Coming to the private hostels, they are bit affordable when compared to the college hostels but the food quality and quantity was same in both.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college was full of greenery and plants. They do take care of them very well than the students. The college is a bit large building where it consists of different blocks for the different branches. It takes almost 10-15 minutes to go from one block to another block. They do have a digital setup in the classrooms for teaching but rarely used. The bouncers are always roaming the college to ensure that the students are following their rules or not. They are very strict in terms of rules and regulations.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, the college life is quite enjoyable because they do conduct some big events every year and they do try to make the students to participate in the events which will improve the social life of a student. As a student of this college, I can say that one will definitely enjoy both the ways. The rules are bit strict but the students never follow. We should balance both academics with the social part to be stable and get good result.

    ‌I completed my B.Tech in May 2023 in the stream of EEE. I have a lot to say about SVEC and among that I would like to point out the main things. Firstly, there is a good teaching environment, good faculty interaction, and active student collaboration.
