My Experience at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College

Overall Rating
I had just completed my first year at this college. Overall the college is very good and I will like to recommend this college to anyone who is comfortable with evening timings. The college authorities are very supportive and are continuously working for development of its infrastructure. Professors are also very supportive.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission in this college as a part of Delhi University you need to clear the CUET exam which is Common University Entrance Test. On the basis of CUET scores, cutoff will be declared. Three rounds of admission will be conducted. CUET Samarth is the site which contains all information regarding CUET.
 

Faculty Rating
The Professors and Assistant Professors are quite exceptional in all fields. They possess deep knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. Most of them have relevant experience of so many years and that is quite seen when they teach. Teachers also maintain a good relation with their students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, our college has its own placement cell which is quite active. It provided us the opportunities to do internships in our first year. Although these opportunities they were not of big companies or MNC's. Placement record too as I heard from my seniors is good. But at the time of recession they are not able to offer big opportunities. So one needs to gain some extra skills to get a good job.
 

Hostel Rating

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college was not exceptional till last year but now the college is continuously working in this area. Many smart classes have been built and overall score of infrastructure is now improving. New auditorium is also under construction. Hopefully this year it will be completed. Our college also has a big ground.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is average. The reason behind this is attendance, as there is a compulsory rule that 66.67% attendance is required of the whole semester to write exams or otherwise you will not be able to write some exams. No big fests are organised in the college, only a cultural fest is organised and that too is restrictive in nature.

    Overall experience of this DU’s south campus based college is good. It is one of the best average colleges to choose from. Others should go to this college for the excellent academics, faculty and exposure environment to a practical world. It has one of the great education and extra curriculum activities relevant to sports, finance, and business.     Shaheed Bhagat Singh Evening College is now one the best colleges of Delhi University, it is located in South Delhi. It is an extension to the Bhagat Singh Morning College but is a separate college sharing same campus area.
