My experience at Government College of Engineering

Overall Rating
The College is well known for good infrastructure and moderate placements. So it can be a good option for BE. Also it has good reputation overall. The college life is good and even the fees is average. Hence it’s a good option.
 

Academics Rating
There are 6 branches offered here CSE, IT, ENTC, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical. You need to qualify exam like MHTCET with minimum of 90 percentile to get admission here or else you can also get admission through your JEE percentile. You must have done your HSC or diploma to get admission here.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers here have qualified MPSC so they are of course talented, but problem arises with the temporary teachers who are appointed on hourly basis they are not that talented. Subjects are taught only till 2nd year, after that maximum study is to be done by you.
 

Placement Rating
Yes there is a placement cell in the college. Near about 45% students are placed every year. Also the TNP Cell provides a course which prepares you for the interview. The companies that visit to campus are really good. The average package is around 5 LPA.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes there are residential facilities in institute. The hostels are bit old and the infrastructure too. It can be renovated. But overall hostel life is fun. Hostels are separate for boys and girls.
 

Infrastructure Rating
All departments have their personal labs and libraries. Apart from these there is a Gymkhana complex in the campus. There is a TNP cell. Also there is basketball and volleyball court in the college. There is also an incubation center present within the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Life is good at the college. There are cultural events, technical event, sports event, and annual alumni meet every year. Feast is organised once a year. Clubs play a major role in development of students. There are technical clubs, cultural clubs, and also the social clubs. These clubs compete in various national competitions.

    I wanted to pursue mechanical engineering and for that there is no other better place than Government College of Engineering Aurangabad because of some obvious reasons like placements (especially in mechanical).     Institute is good and reputed. Faculty is quite good. It sometimes feels amazing to be part of something bigger. At every level of your college life you will feel proud of your college.
