University of Kerala: The dream university of many students

Overall Rating
This is high heritage university which was built by the king of Kerala in the 1970's. The university provides a peaceful atmosphere for its students and makes it more enjoyable for us.
 

Academics Rating
70% or above marks are required in 10+2 to gain an allotment in this university as it is a government university. Fee is affordable as it is only 1500 rupees per semester. I've chosen BA in English literature, which is a very interesting course and makes us eligible to live in the current society.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members are loving in nature. They are well educated or graduated from high reputed universities. Every department has about 20 or more faculty members and the university overall has about 200 faculty members. They focus on interactive teaching rather than textbook teaching. It makes the classes further interesting and understandable for the students. They provide us with study materials as well.
 

Hostel Rating
The government hostel is provided to students who come from long distance. We have to submit the online applications in order to get in the university hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As it is a heritage university, most of the buildings follow a vintage and traditional infrastructure. The walls, benches and chairs are of old models that give special feeling to the students. A central library is provided to the students which contain more than 2000+ books. Many new infrastructures such as the new auditorium, seminar hall, canteen, etc. are also included in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is peaceful and enjoyable. The campus is a green campus with lots of plants and trees. There are gardens in every department. The university fest and celebrations are so extra ordinary that it provides a party atmosphere to the students with safety. The students enjoy their campus life and are happy to be here. There are NSS and NCC programs as well. Sports and arts are also major part of the curriculum.

    My dream from the school days was to study at the University of Kerala. Teaching methods and approach used here is exceptional. Not all students can get admission here because marks in 12th class are a great concern. You have to pass the admission procedure of interview. The greatest advantage here is that no one compels you here for anything. It is your wish and choice what you want to pursue.
