IIIT Pune offers a dynamic academic environment with a growing reputation in technology and engineering. The institute offers two courses for B.Tech. viz., Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE). Although some faculties are relatively new, they are highly skilled and dedicated to helping the students and providing a comprehensive learning experience. The average package during placements is good, and the opportunities are increasing each year as more reputed companies visit the campus. IIIT Pune is an emerging institute for students looking forward to build a strong technological foundation and enhance their skills to become industry-ready.

IIIT Pune offers two specialisations in undergraduate program i.e., CSE and ECE. The admission is through JEE Mains ranking and the cutoff ranks are competitive. The academic curriculum is well structured and constantly updated to include the ongoing demands in the industry. Some CSE fundamentals are also taught to the ECE students which make them capable of grabbing any relevant opportunity. The institute also offers an Honors degree in various courses for the meritorious students which they can complete during their 3rd year. The institute offers a great coding culture and emphasizes on projects, programming and hands-on learning.

The faculties at IIIT Pune are well qualified, with many of them having completed their PhDs from prestigious institutes. Some of the faculties are relatively new but all of them are supportive and easily approachable. They are deeply involved in mentoring the students and providing support even outside of the regular lectures. The teaching standards are high and faculties try to provide relevant information based on their own experiences. The entire college curriculum is covered in the classes and the faculties encourage undertaking of projects and participation in research activities.

IIIT Pune has an active placement cell which works with the students to ensure they are well equipped with the industry demands. The average package is similar for both the branches and the students of both branches are allowed to appear in the placement drives of almost all the companies. The packages are improving every year and more prestigious companies visit the campus. Students have been placed in companies like Yugabyte, Commvault, Atlassian and other big tech companies.

The current college campus has two boys' hostels and one girls' hostel with quadruple sharing rooms. The hostels are clean; rooms are well maintained and have a good Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess food is decent on most days and water purifiers are present. The caretakers and cleaning staff are helpful and all the problems related to electricity, plumbing etc. are taken care of. This is not the permanent campus and the current location has lots of other food options in the vicinity.

The college is currently operating in a temporary campus at Sinhgad Institutes, Vadagaon Budruk. The new campus is under construction at Talegaon-Dabhade which will start its operation by 2025. The current campus has one college building consisting of well equipped computer science labs and electronic labs. A library and various study rooms are also available. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled and latest technology for research and robotics activities are available. The upcoming permanent campus is expected to be significantly improved.

The campus life is vibrant, with students coming from diverse backgrounds from all over India. The seniors are very supportive and friendly and there is a very amiable atmosphere in the college. The college has fests and events going on throughout the year. There are numerous clubs for coding, robotics, dance, singing, sports, E-cell etc. and students engage in as many clubs as they want. The college is based in Pune and students can enjoy a pleasant weather along with scenic places to visit in the city and the outskirts. Food quality is good and there are lots of shops near the college. The campus life is elevated because of the supportive environment and friendly nature of the students.
