My Personal Thoughts on IIIT, Pune

Overall Rating
Institute is actually good except the fact that we do not have a permanent campus as of now. Therefore, there are less cultural events. The faculty is actually intelligent and has great knowledge in their respective fields. Institute also participated in inter IIIT contests and is a coding hub. Placements are good (not the best but it is better than other institutes).
 

Academics Rating
There are mainly 2 streams under the B.Tech in IIITP, Computer Science, and Electronics & Communication. It is a tier 2 institute and has a petty high cutoff around 98 percentile in JEE for general category. The motive to enroll in this institute should be good placement and great coding culture.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty is too good. They are all experienced and knowledgeable. They support and help us in our exams and academics. Students do not have study from online sources as they make all the concepts very clear. Some of them are strict, and some are lenient. However, overall faculty is good.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we do have an active placement cell. Yes, we have a good training and placement officer. It does help student to get jobs in technical field. It also brings reputed companies.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is good. Wi-Fi is provided in the hostels. However, quality of food in mess needs to be improved.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As I mentioned earlier, currently we are in temporary campus of Sinhgad institute. However, the new campus that is under construction will be too big. I hope that it will be equipped with all the amenities.
 

Campus Rating
The crowd is good. All of them are intellectual. The clubs are active. We can have fun a lot in these clubs. There are many interesting events (technical or cultural) in IIITP. Fests happen in almost every 2 month.

    IIIT Pune offers a dynamic academic environment with a growing reputation in technology and engineering. The institute offers two courses for B.Tech. viz., Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
