IIIT Pune: Coding Culture, Faculty, and Placement Opportunities

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Pune is remarkable even though we currently operate without a permanent campus. We have excellent coding culture, good placements, great environment, and students get numerous skill development opportunities.

At institute, the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course is available in 2 specializations which are Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering. The institute also offers B.Tech (Hons.) in the Machine learning, Cyber Security, VLSI Design, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science. As it is a Tier-2 institute, students from general category are required to obtain at least 98 percentile in the JEE Main to enrol in this institute.

The faculty members are highly knowledgeable, experienced, and excel in their respective fields. They are supportive and ensure that students succeed in both academics & extra-curricular activities. The teachers facilitate in-depth learning so that each concept is explained with clarity. Students rarely need any online resources to prepare for the exams. Some professors are strict to the students. Therefore, the faculty is too good and committed to students’ success.

Our institute has a dedicated Placement Cell. It is highly effective in helping numerous students get placed at renowned companies. They also connect students with top-tier organizations, particularly in technical fields. They help us achieve our career goals with outstanding placement opportunities.

The institute provides residential facilities which are separately available for male and female students. We have 3 hostels, one is for fresher and other is for the seniors. The infrastructure of the hostel is good. The hostel has Wi-Fi is connectivity and the rooms are spacious & well maintained. The mess food needs to be improved

We have a temporary campus in the Sinhgad Institute while the permanent campus is under construction. We are optimistic that it will be equipped with state-of-the-art amenities to provide better learning experience. The new campus will be situated at Talegaon and spread across about 200 acres.

The crowd at the institute is good. It has clubs for different activities like drama, singing, dance, coding, robotics, literature, etc. which are active throughout the academic year. Our dedicated coding club improves coding skills of the students and provides them opportunities to participate in programming challenges. You can have lot of fun in these clubs. Our institute organizes a variety of enriching technical and cultural events, such as coding competitions and seminars. The techno-cultural fest at IIITP is named I-Conclave. Our students also represent the institute in prestigious competitions including inter-IIIT contests and National-level hackathons.
