Chitkara University B.Tech Review By Ankit Pandey

I was going for Chitkara University, Rajpura campus but it was too far so I decided to come here also because it is less crowded than Rajpura campus and my seniors told me it is best for value of money. The teachers here are also good in teaching and every facility is provided.

The course that I have chosen is Bachelor's of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering. The requirements are very simple, you should have at least more than or equal to 60% marks in your board result of class 12th. There is no need for giving any entrance exams. The documents needed are board result, Transfer Certificate and Affidavit (if you have a gap). The main motive to enroll in this program is to get a decent job in IT company. The fee required is: 70,000 per semester.

In this university, around 30-40 faculty members are present. Every subject has different faculty and they all are well qualified. Every teacher is very experienced and has practical knowledge. Their teaching style is so awesome because of them I have fallen in love with coding which is not possible in other universities.

Yes, we have placement cell which try to help student in every way. They prepare students for interview and professional communication skills. They have also hired freelancers for these things. They have separate team and classroom for these things.

Yes, Chitkara University has hostels. The hostel names are Aryabhatta, Sarabhai, Kaplan, etc;. Here, the rules are strict but everything is fine and clean. Sweepers come every day to clean rooms. There are also canteens: Venky and Square One, where you can enjoy pizza, burger and sandwiches. Here, the hostel life is fun. The wardens are little bit strict but they are good. The infrastructure is good. There will be one room for 4 students, where each student is provided with bed, chair, table, almirah and mattress but there will be no bed sheets and pillow. The fee is around: 33,000 / semester including mess food, laundry, room everything will be covered in this.

Chitkara University has 17 acres big campus with gym, academic block named as: CVR block, Ramanujan block and Kalam block. There are also places to enjoy cricket and football like Alpha zone, Beta zone and Gamma zone (for basketball). There is no swimming is available. But it has a very big library.

Overall, the campus life is ok. The crowd is mostly of Computer Science & Engineering branch of different interests. There are lots of clubs like: happiness center, ACM, CSI, IEEE, Singing, Dancing, Drama, and Nati. Most of the clubs are related to coding. The fests of the university are: Gratus (for freshers party), DJ night, cultural fests, Lit fests, etc.
