Overall Rating
This college was recommended by my relative to me and she told me that it's a good college. I am in 2nd year right now and the overall experience till now is good only. Also, this is a government college and the fees are also affordable.
 

Academics Rating
I am from Biotechnology branch, this is a four year course and M.Tech and Ph.D are also available in our institute. For biotechnology branch you're eligible only on the basis of 12th class marks (for PCB students) and also the students of PCM branch can also opt for this course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of our branch is very well qualified and is extremely good at their fields. They try to connect us with the terms that cannot be presented visually. They give special attention to weaker students in the class. And they also give us advices in both curricular and non curricular fields.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a training and placement cell in our college.
 

Hostel Rating
The mess fees is about 2280 per semester and the hostel fees is about 16000 per semester which is very affordable as it is a engineering college. In fewer fees they provide a large variety of food and services in hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is very large and also very beautiful. The view of our college is so mesmerizing. The infrastructure of our college is well developed even if it is constructed over mountains.
 

Campus Rating
There are so many clubs in our college which you can join according to your interest. Also every department has its own society which you can join / volunteer if you want to. There are fests in our college namely Goonj and Josh which are held in alternative years and also there is a cultural fest that is Footloose which is held every year.

    I am pursuing B.Tech degree in CSE from the institute. My overall institute experience is above average. Since it is a Government institute, the fee is very low which is one of the reasons why I am here. It has a very good infrastructure, with magnificent views of ice-covered peaks of Himalayas. There is no medical facility nearby. It is situated in a remote location, and if you need something, you have to go Pauri Market which is 10 km from the institute.     Overall Rating
    I choose this institute because my JEE rank wasn't very good. When I first saw the college, I really liked it because it was the first B.Tech college I had seen in the mountains, and the administrative block looked nice too. There was no mobile network in the hostel and not much else either. Gradually, I got used to these challenges and started accepting them.     I am a second year student of Electrical Engineering. My experience of college is above average. For the student of Garhwal region it is a highly recommended college. The reason for choosing GBPIET is that it was best government college according to my JEE rank.
