My views on Sikkim Manipal University (College of Physiotherapy)

Overall Rating
Overall this university is best for Physiotherapy. It provides all the facilities that are essential for our studies. I’m a first year BPT students I choose this because I wanted to study in Sikkim only and I don't regret it at all. Other students who are living outside Sikkim should also give it a chance.
 

Academics Rating
In Physiotherapy department there is part completion test conducted regularly which is very beneficial for us. The attendance here is very strict if you don't get 75% attendance on theory and 80% in practical you will have to have some problem with exams. I’d say missing out on few classes will create problems for you as covering it later is hard.
 

Faculty Rating
We have regular classes there's is no holiday on Saturday too which is understandable as we are in medical college. The faculties are strict but once you get used to them you find them very helpful as this is very new to us. As first year students we don't usually understand book language so lecturers are very helpful in that case. The style of teaching depends upon your focus too.
 

Placement Rating
The placement varies, the skilled one with great academic records has high chances of getting placed in great hospital however if you are not serious throughout the course the placement might be hard. But seniors said that placement rate is not very good. Whereas, if you are serious and have great academic records no need to worry about placement.
 

Hostel Rating
I actually don't know much about hostel because I stay in my own room but I have a very close friend in hostel. From what I have heard I will say that the overall facilities offered in the hostel are not up to the mark. The quality of food offered is also not that good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is quite vast. It has separate building for Physiotherapy department and a main building plus there are lots of classes going on in hospital building too. The classrooms are well equipped and they get cleaned from time to time, classrooms are huge and comfortable. The main building has classes, dissection halls and 2 libraries i.e. central and reading. The central library has digital section and many others which I don't know myself. Our department’s building has our own Library too.
 

Campus Rating
As a first year student I'd say the life which I expected is quite different from what I'm living right now but I would not say that this is bad. I’m enjoying allot as there are lots of fests from time to time and opportunities to show your talents. I myself am a singer and painter I have participated in many things. There was a recent fest named Aura which is the biggest fest of the year which is organised every year and honestly this year the best part of college was that fest.

    Currently, I am attending classes at Sikkim Manipal University through online mode. They are very good through mode of study opted by me. I got a scholarship where 30% of my fees are free. I get all the notes and study materials free that help me in my studies. I can book exam slots according to my convenience. There are very good teachers who help in performing well in the exams....
