Lucky to be Part of Sikkim Manipal University

Overall Rating
Currently, I am attending classes at Sikkim Manipal University through online mode. They are very good through mode of study opted by me. I got a scholarship where 30% of my fees are free. I get all the notes and study materials free that help me in my studies. I can book exam slots according to my convenience. There are very good teachers who help in performing well in the exams.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen B.A (Bachelor of Arts). You have to be 12th pass and you do not need anything, you have to submit your education details and basic government IDs and all. The semester exams are held once in 6 months where before the exam, one assignment needs to be submitted. The exams are very competitive, we can give exams by sitting in our own house, and we can choose our slots when to give exams.
Yes, I got scholarship where 30% fee is deducted. I paid my remaining fee in installments and I had to pay Rs. 52,000/-. They give scholarship to students who belong to North-East region of the country.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members are very good. They help in each and every subject. We can call or message them anytime. They conduct group discussion sessions and we get to learn many things from each other. They use PPTs for making us understand the topics and the teachers come from a very well educated background holding Ph.D and Master’s degrees so that they can give us the right things to study.
 

Placement Rating
The SMU East Sikkim told us that they give placement but as I am still studying I don't have any idea about it.
 

Hostel Rating
They do have different hostel for male and female but I do not stay in hostel so I do not have enough idea about it.
 

Infrastructure Rating
They have a very well maintained campus with big buildings and classrooms are very neet and clean. They have 2 libraries, two auditoriums, and a conference hall. The food of the canteen is very clean & hygienic. They do have a medical room for all the health related issues. They do have grounds, Basketball court, and many more things so that the students can grow up playing.
 

Campus Rating
The overall experience in the University is very awesome. I do take part in many of the things and cultural fest. There are clubs and I do take part in that. There are many extracurricular activities like sports, dance competition, or singing classes. Last year, there were fests organised by the University where we enjoyed very much and had so much fun.
