Parul University MBBS Review By Preeti Singh

Parul University offers Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery i.e. MBBS course. It is a 5.5-year degree program. The university offers admission on the basis of NEET-UG scores. I took admission in 2019. Since I wasn't able to secure an MBBS seat in a government college Parul University was the best-suited option for me. Though I was going to be a part of the first batch of MBBS in this University since the rankings of the college were good and also it had trained faculties so I decided to go with this one. I got a seat through the NEET counseling process. There were almost 150 students in the batch. After the admission, the management was helpful regarding all the formalities and everything.

I joined the course to practice medicine and be in the medical field as a doctor. The university covers all the subjects that a medical student needs to study according to MCI guidelines. The syllabus is properly divided and it is according to the MCI guidelines. Also along with theory all the practicals required to be done are also carried out properly by the faculty. Since I am in the first batch we will be passing out in 2023. So can't say about the job opportunities right now.

There are different faculties for each subject. Also, the faculty is helpful to us. The faculty in the lab is also very good. We get assistance from the faculty. Also whenever I have some doubts or questions the teachers are always ready to help and suggest the best. During the exams also the faculty is always available for the students to solve doubts and other stuff.

However, there is no option of direct placement through the college in the MBBS field. But the college has a hospital where we are compulsorily required to do an internship for 1 year. The hospital is certified by the MCI and the Indian government. Many international and multinational companies also visit the campus for placements. In our field, the average placement also can be around 60000 per month.

The university has a separate hostel for girls and boys. The hostel is quite good and has a good atmosphere. The hostel charges start from 75000 and the rates vary according to the room you will choose. The hostel is secure. Also, the hostel has mess facilities. They have a hygienic mess. But the taste of food sometimes is not that good. But then there are canteens in the campus so we prefer going there sometimes if the taste is not good.

The University has a good infrastructure. The campus has a library and also laboratories. There is an auditorium where all the major college events take place. Also, the university campus has cafeterias and shops for students to enjoy and buy the essentials. As we live in the hostel we almost find all the basic essentials in the shops. Also, there are playgrounds for different sports and medical and emergency support for students is always available.

The campus life at Parul University is amazing. As a student, I can say that campus life provides an all-around exposure to us. There are many sports events and cultural fests organized on the campus. The university focuses on the overall improvement of the student and gives us all possible chances to interact with new people and grow and learn every day. It is best for students who focus on academics and personality development both.
