Yes, It is definitely a good institute for student because alumni network is very good and many companies visit institute for the placements. Coming to attendance, many departments are flexible with the attendance criteria (minimum 75%) except Electrical and ECE. You can definitely prefer this institute, if you have JEE rank over 40,000.

There are 2 mid semester tests {Class test (CT) namely CT and CT2} and end semester exams. The semester is almost of 4 months. Although institute is affiliated with AKTU, it is an Autonomous Institute which means all the exam papers are created by the institute's faculties. The exams are of moderate level neither hard nor simple.

Faculty of the institute is very supportive towards the students. They don't pressure students for academics. The faculty of the institute is well qualified from major IITs. Their style of teaching is very interesting as they try to explain the topics in a way that students can it topics easily.

Yes, we have well established placement cell in my institute that is helping students to get placed in. Many companies visit the campus during placement drive. Highest international package achieved by a student in my institute is 1.2 CPA. Many students are placed in Google, Amazon, etc. Google even hired an intern from my institute. The cell is getting better and better each year in providing best placements.

There are total 9 hostels for boys and 4 hostels for girls. Every year, you will get a different hostel. The hostel infrastructure is quite good but you may face problem in second year hostel that is below average and mess of that hostel is not up to the mark. There are 6 hostels for third and final year student. From third year, you will be able to get single rooms, according to your CGPA. Mess facility for third and final year is also very good because each hostel has different mess. Coming to sanitation of hostel, housekeepers will come every day to clean rooms and washrooms. You will get water cooler in each floor of every hostel.

Infrastructure of our institute is not much appreciable but it is good. There are separate departments for each branch. Brand new department of Mechanical and Chemical Engineering has been inaugurated. There is beautiful sport complex for indoor games and separate fields for cricket and football. Institute’s auditorium hosts many fests and events every year.

The first thing which every student of IET Lucknow knows and feels is that you have a lot of things to explore including surroundings of the institute and city . Our institute has lots of clubs such as programming (Fractal), Fine Arts, Photography, Drama, Singing, Dance, etc. You can showcase your talent by becoming member of respective clubs. Our institute has fest called ‘Encore’ along with separate departmental fests.
