Lucknow is known for its code of conduct, and University of Lucknow reflects that. The environment is friendly and peaceful; there’s an easy access to every facility. Walking through the campus you will feel how friendly the people are. International students are also welcomed and treated as normal colleagues. Students from countries like Nigeria, Myanmar and many more study in this University. The best part here is if you are preparing for any other competitive exam you can easily get time.

Talking about my course Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), its competitive here. People from multiple cities across Uttar Pradesh come to give the Entrance Examination. Total number of seats is 700. 450 for regular and 250 for self-finance. Eligibility is that the students must have passed intermediate (10+2) or equivalent examination or Polytechnic Diploma with Mathematics or Economics as one of the optional subjects of study. At least 40% marks for General Category and Other Backward Classes and 33% marks for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. My motive for enrolling in this program was to focus on other activities while doing my B.Com since there no compulsion for attendance as such. Only if you want Scholarship then only you are required to have 75% attendance. Even the fees are very low as compared to others; Rs. 3527/- for regular and Rs. 15,330/- for self-finance courses. Even many need-based scholarships are also offered here.

The best part I found about this University was its faculty. The professors are really congenial. They lead you through life not only in academics but also in other aspects of life. Proper notes are given in the class. Lectures are also very interactive. From Assistant Professors to Senior Professors, everyone is friendly and teaches very well. Discipline is maintained throughout the class.

Yes, hostel facilities are there, and they are provided on the basis of merit. Even Rajkumar Rao came to the boys’ hostel recently for shooting one of his movies. Unlike any other hostel, the rooms are comfortable.

The campus’ infrastructure is pretty good and is of old nawab times as if you are visiting a monument. It is green and beautiful as well. Campus is very clean and dirt free. No smoking or drinking is allowed inside the campus. Campus is quite big, and one might get tired of walking but it's worth it. Many libraries are there including a cyber library.

Lot of communities and clubs are present here. You can for NGO's as well. You don't even have to struggle for getting opportunities here. You yourself will get invited to join the programs. The community keeps you well informed. Seniors are also very friendly, and they guide you very well.
