My Happy-Go Journey in SMS Medical College

Overall Rating
The college has a lot to offer. Every year, new experiences come with new subjects along with practicals. Different departments provide new learning opportunities with thorough knowledge of each and every subject. Given the time for subjects is limited it’s the schedule that can make it worthwhile. A renowned and well established college which attracts students from all over India.
 

Academics Rating
MBBS is a 5 and 1/2 year long journey with all the obstacles one can face but with great memories too. NEET-UG is the entrance exam given to take admission in any medical college. Every year with changing cut offs make it a little hard to get into one but the hard work and dedication is what it all takes.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculties are well trained and dedicated. Head of departments keep changing to avoid any biasness. Every department, be it Physiology, Anatomy or Microbiology; all the members of staff manage it properly alongside taking care of practical classes. Some like to use presentations, otherwise it’s not mandatory as verbal teaching is also a part of daily classes.
 

Placement Rating
No such placement cell is there in our college since it is medical college. One year internship program is all you need to become a medical practitioner.
 

Hostel Rating
Boy’s and girl’s hostels are made separate along with resident hostels too. Although big buildings but sometimes it’s hectic since being localized to a specific area. Gaming room along with reading rooms separately are there. Facilities for sports like badminton court are also made inside. Proper light and water it easier although cleanliness can become an issue sometimes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Our college has well furnished lecture theatres and all the required practical labs for different subjects. Every department is given demonstration rooms with proper lights and is properly well equipped. Academic block has been separately formed for no disturbances in student’s daily schedules. Different sections have been made to solve issues separately for students.
 

Campus Rating
Fest organized once a year is the most awaited event for all the college mates. It’s filled with sports cultural and fun events too. Not only the students but the staff and faculty members take part too. Different clubs have recently been opened to keep that joy through the academic year. Sports tournament like volleyball, basketball and football are organized at all the levels and they are worth for all the doctors in their hustling day to day life.
