Presidency University BCA Review By Pavithra P

It's been four months I'm in Presidency university. I'm pursuing BCA with Data Science as specialization from here. I chose this university mainly because of the placements. There are 7 schools. School of Law, Design, Engineering, Management, Commerce and Information Science. The first day I came here, I felt so good that I chose a good university as it really gave a positive energy. The infrastructure, surroundings, and classrooms, everything is good. There is soft skills class where the faculty teaches us to improve our confidence, public speaking skills, leadership qualities, etc. Overall it's one of the good universities in Bangalore.

There are many courses here. Most of the universities would ask for Math as a subject in 12th standard for pursuing BCA but this university didn't require it. It is one the advantage here. In first semester, we have 6 subjects. The fee for BCA is 1.5 lakh.

The faculties here are so friendly and they teach us everything so clearly. If we have any doubt, we can directly go to their cabin and they will clear it for us. As we are first year student’s faculties help us in many things. They teach everything step by step.

For mostly every course here, it has good placements. Especially for Design, placements are there with high packages.

There are totally 3 hostels for our university. One is for only a girl that’s ‘Itagalpura Hostel’, another for boys ‘Paripoorna’ and another one ‘Chokkanahali’. I'm staying in Chokkanahali one. The hostel is 3 KM away from the university. The university bus is there to take us to university and drop back. The rooms are well furnished and maintained. Lift facilities is also there. We have every facility in our hostel. The food is also fine.

The most attractive thing of our university is its infrastructure. There are so many blocks here. There is lift facility available so that it's easy for us. In every class, there is smart technical teaching tools are provided. There are so many computer labs here. Mostly in every floor, there are washroom facilities available. There are so many shops here Like Cafeteria, Hatti Kappi, Subway, Café Feasto, etc. There are football court, basketball court, and cricket nets here. Other thing that I like here is lawn as is it’s so big that we can sit and relax for a long time. Also the fountain at the front gate is its main attraction for visitors.

The campus life is nice. There are so many clubs like dance, music, culinary, literary, theatre etc. Weekly, there is a talent show where everyone can showcase their talents.
