Lingaya's University M.Tech Review By Prince Sharma

I have a strong opinion about Lingaya’s not just because I have studied from there but because I know at least they don’t just fake it. Almost all the universities spend a large part on ads, and the same goes with Lingaya’s, but they charge the least fees out of them all. Like other universities, they do put up info that is much beyond what they do, but at least they do. If one wants a safe and sound future and wants to study alongside having fun, then there’s nothing better than Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth. Look what you get at Lingaya is quality education, incredible infrastructure, and cultural and technical fests galore. Yes, like many other universities, not many celebrities are invited, but the University can help you achieve something in life. I may not have achieved much, but the University has at least put me in that position.

M. Tech is one course that sees the maximum attrition rate. After a point in time, one just can’t as the subjects are so deep that diving into them means less chance of coming to the top until you have touched the base. B. Tech started looking meaningless as Lingaya’s M. Tech program is not just learning coding or languages. It’s more than that and to add, we were trained by TCS employees on what the problems are and how we will solve them. So, if you want to become an answer to a solution which I am sure all engineer wants to, Lingaya’s academics will give you such job and purpose.

A highly qualified faculty to make sure those students don’t make errors while learning. M. Tech is the end, and that is how we were taught that nothing is left behind. Getting us industry ready was their main motto and they developed our skills exactly like that. I could have complained on some points, but since I know how dedicated they were to their jobs; it would be unethical to point out my personal issues. Their support and willingness to help us at any point of time made me their biggest fans. Not just on campus, but they were also ready to help us off-campus. I can’t be greedy and keep asking for more as they did all they can to make sure students stay happy and learn all required.

The IT sector since last decade has been the biggest contributor when it comes to jobs. All the top IT companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys have hired all the students well in time to care for the finals. Passing is compulsory but once the burden or the pressure of job is off your mind, you can give your best. Packages were good enough to boast as a private university in a town like Hyderabad getting its students placed at an average of 50k a month is significant. I agree the placement wasn’t 100%, but the University tried its best to place the students.

Firstly, the college is quite far, and secondly the hostel is only for those coming from at least 100 miles from the college. Hostels were lavish and hostel wardens took great care of students. If I talk about the facility, the biggest advantage that hostellers enjoyed was they could use most of the facilities of the University for as long as they wanted. Library was open for them 24*7. Mess would close after a certain point but there was a canteen that would operate till late. So, for students coming at least 100 miles from the University, don’t even think twice before booking your stay at the hostels.

The University is not that old and therefore the maintenance is something to watch out for. Everything is crisp and clean as littering and all at the campus is strictly taken. There are many dustbins and it seems like the University has followed the Swachh Bharat campaign way too seriously. Even the playgrounds were lush green and it doesn’t matter what time of the year you play them on, you will find the grass as fresh as ever. The canteen was awesome and labs don't even need any mention as they were that special.

DU culture has influenced its nearby places as the club culture, the jam sessions, the freshers’ parties and all were so well co-ordinated and organized that we could sense the drastic transformation that colleges and universities have gone through recently. I was an active member of many clubs and had to take time out as I enjoyed being in the mix. There were many inter colleges competitions held at our campus and needless to say how Lingaya’s students performed. Trust me, but our university students topped the charts and I wish that University keep growing the same way.
