Lingaya's University B.Tech Review By Rajat Jain

Lingaya’s was more of a no choice as failing in JEE badly didn’t leave me with many an option. No problems though as Lingaya’s have done fairly well for me to get placed and move on in my career. Faridabad has many engineering colleges like Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Faridabad College of Engineering and Management, and Manav Rachna University among many others. Lingaya’s has proven that is quite ahead of its peers as the placement record and infrastructure of Lingaya’s is better than those. I was taken aback after not getting into IITs but let me tell you all that it's not the end and perhaps the beginning of many new things. One can have as much fun as they want if they take care of studies correctly. The university is a fest as there are various departments and engineering for sure the best out of those. The management is good and once you take admissions here there’s nothing to lose and gain as much as one can.

Classes were quite lengthy as the first break was after three classes. Each class was of 45 minutes and it goes without chasing that one has to attend the most classes. If the attendance is low, there are consequences. Not just studies but students here are equally committed to extra-curricular activities as it’s hard to imagine a college life without that. There’s much to gain at the university as the labs are great and the professors leave no stone unturned to make sure students of the university go on and become some of the best engineers.

Faculty was wiser as they knew that going hard may not help students cause. It’s not they want completely easy but gave us our moments to cherish. Their inputs were right from the meat of their minds and sometimes they looked harsh. It was all for us as some students took it too casually.

Placements were arranged during the final year and a month long interviews finally paved way for decent jobs. Wipro, Infosys wanted few engineers for them and they got them easily from our batch. We were interviewed and also had to go through an entrance of IT companies. After clearing that and passing the interview with flying colors, 7 out of 10 were placed from the university itself.

The university has hostels on campus to take care of few outsiders who came all the way from different parts of India to study here. I was surprised to see students from states like Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh coming here as there are many engineering colleges in those states. Hostel provided them with some good food and state of the art facilities.

Infrastructure was amazing as there were more facilities than one could have imagined. Nearly 12 labs for all engineering streams and computer lab being the common lab for all departments. An auditorium that had best lightings and sound system. There’s a nice canteen and cool breeze kept flowing inside the campus as the campus had many trees. Also, the campus is quite open and that gives access to fresh air. Sporting wise the campus has almost all the luxuries one could ask for.

Life at campus was study hard and party harder. The university gave us enough reasons and occasions to jam inside the campus. The crowd is awesome and shaking a leg with seniors was crazy. There’s no junior or senior inside the campus as ragging is like a thing of the past here. I have had ample fun and it’s tough to replicate the same kind of life post college so guys live your life to the fullest but do take complete care of your studies as well.
