A Review on PES University Electronic City, Bangalore

Overall Rating
I am currently a 2nd year CSE-AIML student at PES University. It has been a great experience so far. The lecturers teach well and clarify doubts as well. The sports and extracurricular activities must be improved but the fests are amazing. There are regular events on campus including fun quizzes and open Mics very often. Cleanliness is maintained properly here. Canteen food is nice and the menu is also good and inclusive. Hospital is also available on campus. Parking facility is also decent.
 

Academics Rating
My course is B.Tech CSE (AIML) at PES University Electronic City. The entrance exam required for admission is PESSAT / KCET / JEE MAINS. The student must have Math, Physics and Chemistry in their grade 12th as a basic requirement. The rank in PESSAT should be around 1300 to 2000 for this course and campus. The reason behind enrolling in this program was to explore the world of artificial intelligence and the endless possibilities in the future. It is considered a booming field and so much more growth is expected.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers teach well. They are all Ph.D holders and have at least 10 years of teaching experience. The teaching style of some teachers is may be a little difficult to understand but we can always approach them personally and ask doubts. We also have the option of approaching any other faculty to get our doubts clarified. The online material is excellent and really helpful for the exams.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there are placements in our university. PES is known to have great placements with an average package or 12 Lakh per annum and maximum package up to 1 Crore. During 3rd year we have internship placements and finally during 4th year we have our actual placements where more than 100 companies visit the campus. Placements are combined for electronic city campus and ring road campus hence providing equal opportunity to the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there are good hostel facilities. For boys it is on campus and for girls it is outside. Curfew is at 10 pm for boys and earlier for girls. They have access to the student center where they get to play games like table tennis, 8 ball pool, badminton, darts, carrom, snooker, and squash and also have access to the gym.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has 4 blocks. One is the engineering block where all the engineering classes are held and it has the quadrangle where many performances take place. The next block is the mechanical block which is now converted into the BBA block. It's a small building for BBA students. The next block is the nursing and Pharma block where nursing classes are held. Finally we have the medical block and hospital.
 

Campus Rating
There are 2 main fests in a year- one is held in the electronic city campus and the other one in the ring road campus. Both of these fests are really great and if you do not attend, you will definitely be missing out as there are games, competitions, events, dj nights and concerts to look out for during these fests. There are multiple clubs present but not all of them are well established. Some clubs are really nice. The crowd is very chill and welcoming. There is a student center where students can spend time and chill while playing games like badminton, table tennis with their friends.

    Pes University Electronic City is one of the top 5 universities in Bangalore. It has the same placements and syllabus as the PES University RR campus. I personally chose this college as it was in Bangalore and had one of the best placements and has a brand name itself.
